Which player holds the record for most successful half court shots of all time? Which player this season currently has made the most half court shots and how many? How about last season? I looked on NBA.com's record and history pages but couldn't find anything .
My guess would be Magic. The most memorable however would have to be Jerry West's. And I think it was Sheryl Swoopes in the WNBA that hit one to win a 'ship.

I think Larry Bird could easily make half court shots if he wanted if he was completely open. Not too sure about whom exactly, but they're the people I know who did them quite often and made them sometimes. Interesting topic, proves clutch and shooting skills, Logo's sure was amazing, still no one could ever make that normally.
Talking about clutch....My coach told me i hit 3 buzzer beating shots in two seasons and never missed any... but i could only remember one of them...He said i was very clutch being just 16..I didnt believe him.....Well Yestedray in a game i hit a shot with 8 seconds to go from my three-point line off the glass and in...Now i believe him..And if you dont believe me then fine..Because i know i did it....I suprised myself though!
Greg Ostertag hit one about 2 years ago against Portland, you have to admit he's one of the most clutch players in the league. j/k
Guys, I think most of you missed what I was asking. I want to know exactly who holds the record for the most half court shots made and exactly how many.
This might be a little too long ago for some of you, but anybody remember Magic's 80 - footer against Denver at the Forum in '87? He caught it, turned, and popped it from Denver's free throw line. - Or what about the back - to - back halfcourt shots in that Clippers/Rockets game from '89, that was tight. I'm sure some of you have seen highlights of that somewhere. As far as the all-time record goes, I have no idea. But for my money, I would want either Magic or Jerry with the ball if we're talking about half-court heaves.
ooo sorry accord, for going off topic, but does anyone here have videos of halfcourt shots being made?

I think you can download all of the NBA commercials on NBA.com.
hmmm larry bird! i just played nba street vol. 2 and i faced the legend team that included him, in the pregame action he hit a shot (with no effort) from half court with Isiah and Drexler guarding him that was ill... and in the real life, he was for real, hitting many clutch shots and long-range buzzers... TB, i guess the WNBA player that hit from beyond halfcourt that you talked about was Teresa Weatherspoon of the NY Lyberty (btw, she's a Spark now)... with that frickin unbeliavable shot, NY tied the final series at 1-1, which was eventually won by Sheryl Swoopes' Houston 2-1!
