This was really confusing! Well at first, ppl were telling me that the NBA made a new rule that NBA players that have been in the legue for more then 3 years arnt allowed to enter the dunk contest and thats why VC can't join. Then, others told me he didin't want to enter in the first place, but i went to nba.com and there was a poll and it asked who would win the dunk contest? and one of the names where Ricky Davis!!!!!!! Which is weired because Ricky have been in the NBA for 6 years and so has VC! Maybe VC is allowed to join the dunk contest but he doesnt want to, and the NBA felt embarassed so they made up this new rule. I know All this dunk contest and VC not going is old news, bUt can someone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee explain why the NBA told us there was a new rule and Ricky Davis is still in it? im Sooooooooooo confused!!!!!!!
He doesn't want to. He and McGrady, to be more specific, didn't want to be pressured into going, so that rule was made. I hope they did lift it, though - maybe Desmond Mason will be there, now.
Hopefully DMase will be there. VC obviously does not. Why let in Ricky Davis when VC is available? I don't think so
He doesn't want to its pretty obvious. I say he told the L, and they trough the press release they r3einforced the 3 year rule... THe L Screwed up though...They let Ricky D in? tsk tsk...Hypocrites now!
I think that Vince decided not to participate even with the invitation on its way. I'm confused over the selection of Ricky Davis though.
Im much confused as you are franchise3. I think VC should took the invitation but J-rich is still going to be the slam dunk champion.

The reason the NBA asked Ricky to enter is because noone else wanted to enter the comp and now they end up looking like contradicting idiots. They asked DMase after finding this out and he declined due to 1) TJ Ford didn't get accepted into the rookie challenge and 2)He made plans already. What can you do? Keep arguing about it?
