You are going to make my blood boil. That had to have been the WORST draft picks of all time! When they drafted Troy Murphy all I thought was, oh great, another Todd Fuller. I just hope Murphy regains last year's form. Watching him shoot against Denver made me cringe.

I thought Dunleavy was going to be the next Danny Ferry.

lol...give him a little more credit than that. Dunleavy has the make-up to be a very good player. He just needs to get rid of that softness in his game.

I was not that down on him, but I definately wanted Gooden more. I just was hoping they would trade with the Bulls and pick up Williams. That did not happen. I still to this day would trade Dunleavy for Williams if it were not for Speedy.

They are buying out his contract for 3 mil.

I am just saying, I would have rather had Williams than Dunleavy. Maybe not after the accident. But before the accident, if we could have traded straight up this summer, I would not have hesitated. I hope Williams recovers from his accident. If he does, I still have faith that he will be a great PG. I just hope he does not end up like Bobby Hurley.

Jay Williams was/is destined to be just another Arenas/Crawford type player, a SG who is asked to play PG because they are too small for SG. Inevitably, the 6-2 to 6-4 SG in college are asked to play PG in the NBA because they are too small to guard SGs. Then what you see are players who do not understand how to get everyone involved and get them the shots where they are comfortable. Yeah sure Arenas may average 5-6 assists but he was never comfortable in how to get those assists. Jay Williams is like that, he's a natural scorer who is more comfortable getting his own shot than getting someone else a good shot. The only successful smallish SG/scorer in college who made it in the NBA is Iverson. That makes his success even more phenomenal. Someday the GMs are going to realize that to get a PG you need to be a PG from the start, you can't just make someone a PG after 20 years of playing.

Yeah he needs to be kidnapped and dropped in East Oakland. That'll un-soften him. Just kidding [IMG]

    Hahhahahahahaaha!!

I like Dunleavy. He's a decent spot up shooter; he just needs a teammate that commands the double team and Dunleavy can free himself up for an open jumper.

Too bad Gooden doesn't really have that much game yet, I would like to have a bay area son playing for the warriors. He was upset at being passed up by the warriors.

    Speaking of which...

    All Oakland team (currently playing):
    Jason Kidd
    Gary Payton
    Drew Gooden
Leon Powe (well, technically he's at Cal but....)

    Am I missing anyone else?

I liked that one cal guy. What's his name. Sean Lampley. I loved his attitude. He would have been my second favorite bench guy but his game his hampered by his size and style of play. You can't be 6'6" and have nothing but low post play. But he was awesome when he came out to play. Berkley fans probably loved it when he was on the warriors roster. BTW, I don't consider Speedy a bench guy by the way.

Yeah, we cut him after someone came back right? Hopefully he develops an outside shot and tries out for the GSW again next training camp.

Baron Davis? He's from the Bay Area if I'm not wrong.

I know he went to UCLA, but don't remember if he was from the Bay.

B Diddy is from L.A. He takes way too many shots but the guy is so skilled. He does it all basically.

Yeah, I liked what I saw from him. I would rather have him than Popeye or Eshmeyer.

Popeye has had his moments. Eschmeyer is one of those lucky bastards that can collect 3 million a year and watch all the warriors games in a fancy suit.
