they already talkin shit, Randy is better. no doubt, in a league of his own. TO is still great, who has the better game in all honesty? i think TO does. Our D comes out great in games like this, dawkins and lito double him and were good. TO has no1 to be afraid of on the vikies.
All things being equal and i can choose any one reciever for the bears, I would choose . . . Andre Johnson
I can completely see your defense shutting down Moss. But the only way you are going to do that is to send double and triple coverages at him. One on one, and even in some double coverages, he'll beat you. Every defense faces the same challenge. Double and triple team Moss and let Robinson, Burleson, and Campbell burn you deep. Drop more defenders into coverage, Culpepper runs and Onterrio Smith has a career day. If you put single coverage on Robinson, Burleson, or Campbell, they can make you pay. Who is the better receiver? No question. Its Moss. TO is MUCH better after the catch, but as an all around threat, Moss makes a bigger impact on the game.
honestly, i think the players are gonna be shut down... 1 reason: the defenses are going to be sending people after them and not letting them touch the ball... the little people like LJ or even westbrook(reciver wise) will be the people who change the game... im stickin by 31-21 Eagles win
VF, Moss is better, im sayin the eagles always shut down the biggest threat, im not saying the other guys dont step up, im just saying that. Moos has 7 inches on Lito, and 5 on Dawkins
PF, I think Moss will still get his catches, especially since it is Monday night, but for the most part the Vikes will have to rely on other players stepping up.
i agree, i just think yourll see his numbers around 6-45 yards, or something like that, he wont have a big YPC. i need robinson to come up big anyway
Are you guys taling about "ONE GAME", or the "MOST GAME"? Andre Johnson? Stop Moss? If TO ever stopped worrying about having game and just decided to bring game he would be much better.
I hate both of these guys... And I mean HATE both of these guys. However...if I could have one guy on my team for one must win game it would be (God Help Me) RANDY MOSS! T.O. can take a hike... He will disappear vs. the Vikes in week 2.

Eagles corners arent great as it is but to stop randy moss would mean culpepper has no time at all to throw. Both owens and moss are the ellite of wrs. If you want a pure playmaker who will get you that td when its needed. Its moss. If you want the total package for blocking and dominating a game, its owens. I cant think of better matchup with culpepper, moss vs mcnabb, owens. Both should post great numbers. I really dont see philly beating minn in this game tho. Minnisota has way too many weapons. You can put a double team on moss... and yet you have campbell, burleson and minn secret big play weapon thats underated. Marcus robinson. In the end this should be a high scoring 2 td a peice performance by both owens and moss. I know im personally looking foward to this game.

Because Moss has been put under so many different 'containment' defenses, he's realized that he can do a lot without having the ball. He put on 10 pounds of muscle just to be able to block better. Interestingly enough, on O. Smith's 65 yard TD, it was Moss who laid the final block. You are right, though. Moss is the only person who can stop Moss. I would say the same about TO, at least in this upcoming game. The problem with Philly in this game is that they don't have any good secondary weapons to go to. Marcus Robinson has proved his entire career that he is a playmaker. However, he has sort of fallen under the radar. I expect either him or Burleson to have a huge game UNLESS the Eagles decide that they won't focus on stopping Moss (which would be a mistake). I cannot wait until next Monday. Here's to hoping that no national disasters happen before Monday as I want to watch this game.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Moss is the only person who can stop Moss.</div> Has any corner ever shut him down? By shut him down, I mean hold him to 2 or 3 catches for under 50 yards? Has he ever locked horns with Champ Bailey, for example? Even Michael Jordan in his prime got shut down by Joe Dumars. Moss hasn't met his CB match yet?
I personally cannot remember, but with a WR such as Moss, its harder to determine if he was "shut down". The only way to really do that is to look at how many passes were successfully defended that went to him. The way the Vikings play, if too much attention is being paid to Moss, they look elsewhere. Its not that he can't make the plays, its just that there are bigger opportunities on the field.
I know the Packers have never shut him down. Never. But maybe one of the other 30 teams have. Heh... Doubtful.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>By shut him down, I mean hold him to 2 or 3 catches for under 50 yards?</div> By those standards....Dallas held him to 4 catches and 27 yards. I only WISH it would qualify as shutting him down ;-) I know what you mean though...
Ah, right... I should have said "with no TDs" and probably lowered that number to, say, 20 yards? Check it out! Moss has a lifetime QB passer rating of 131.3! http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/players.nsf/ID/07940118 Heh heh...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>However...if I could have one guy on my team for one must win game it would be (God Help Me) RANDY MOSS!</div> LOL, I feel your pain. That would be like me taking Favre over Manning in a clutch game situation... God help me, but I'd take Favre. I think it will be hard for the Eagles to shut Moss down, but I think that if they do, than the other guys will be able to burn the Iggles all night long. T.O will probably have a good game, but don't underestimate Winfield. The man is short, but he is widely considered an elite CB. I still look for a highscoring game with the last team with the ball winning (unless said team gets the ball with less than 30 seconds on the clock).
What about turnovers? Turnovers could make a huge difference in this game. If the Eagles go -2 in turnovers, this game won't be a contest.
