^That kid Kyle Boller is gonna be something else...He can throw the ball 70 yards on one knee...all he needs is experience and a go-to receiver....well, now all he needs is experience [IMG]

Anyway, its hard to compare different positions so I'm gonna do it by position...

QB - Dan Marino ...no superbowl rings doesn't tarnish his legacy in my eyes
HB - Barry Sanders ....him, gale sayers and Mike Vick are the most exciting players ever...
FB - Jim Brown ....u guys touched on this already
WR - Jerry Rice
TE - Kellen Winslow.....in a few years, it will be Tony Gonzalez
OT - Anthony Munoz

DT - Deacon Jones
LB - Lawerence Taylor
DB - Deion Sanders

The Browns just inked Jeff Garcia to a 4 year $25 million deal. Finally, the Browns woke up and realized that Tim Couch was a bust and that Holcomb is no more than a quality back up.

Now, if we can just get an O line...

I am impressed with this move, the QB drama was hurting this ball club.

Couch is a spoiled punk anyway.

now we need a Offensive Line.. Maybe draft some Offensive Line players, I dont know..

But we do need an offensive line period! Even if Garcia is a good QB he will be like Couch, Holcomb because of no protection.. Garcia can scramble too but eventually he will be tired of it..

I love this signing! I know we still need an O line, but to me it's not as big a priority as it was last season. Garcia is going to be able to avoid a lot of the pressure with his feet, and if we actually have a FULLBACK like Robiskie says we will, that will also give us one more blocker in the backfield to pick up the blitz.

Either way, we're already much improved over last year, IMO.

The Browns still need a QB for the future. Garcia is a short term solution who will probably only be here 2 years.
I think the Browns are a mess right now. Who do they have to build around? There's no big time talent on the roster. Personnel decisions have not gotten any better with Davis in charge.

Word is Dallas is interested in Couch. I would trust Parcell's ability to judge talent a little more than Davis'.
Couch is far from perfect but I think he needed to get out of Cleveland badly and can still develop into a solid NFL starting QB that you can win with.

not to sure.. What's your RB situation?? Is Willie Green coming back? or is that Suggs guy gonna start because of 1 or 2 good games?

I'd like to think Suggs is going to be the guy next year. Willie is solid, but he'll probably end up in prison again before the season rolls around. Suggs gives the Browns some more explosiveness.

Jamel White was released.

I love the Garcia signing. Finally no more QB crap. If Green cleans up his act. He'll be the starter. But if he slips. Suggs will be right there to take his job. I think Suggs will give Green a good battle anyway. Davis said in the press conference that the Browns will be looking at somemore free agents in the next couple of weeks. We'll see.

The Browns biggest problem is still there. The offensive line. It's actually worse now with both O'Hara and Stokes gone. I don't know where improvement will come from either. While the Browns were screwing around with the QB position all the top FA O lineman signed with other teams. There's really not much left out there.
It's almost to the point now that they have to trade up in the draft for Robert Gallery and get that franchise left tackle.

The Browns signed DE Ebenezer Ekuban, a former first round draft pick from Dallas. The 6-3, 265 pound 27 year old will be backing up Courtney Brown.

Not sure about this one......could we be thinking of trading Courtney Brown too? Davis hasn't liked underachieving #1 picks as of late. A draft day trade maybe? Who knows.

More like Courtney could be cut. I think we need to relax about the OL. I know it's tough, but. We are filling some holes with a couple of good signings. We just signed a true fullback Terrelle Smith(former Saint). Things are starting to shape up. There really isn't a big hurry. More cuts coming in June.

Okay, new NFL topic...With the draft looming, who's going to have a more successful career...

WR: Larry Fitzgerald-Mike Williams-Roy Williams-Reggie Williams

QB: Eli Manning-Ben Roethlisberger-Phillip Rivers-J.P. Losman

RB: Steven Jackson-Maurice Clarett-Kevin Jones-Chris Perry

My picks

WR, my pick goes to Reggie Williams...He's probably going to be the 4th reciever taken but from the games I've seen of him, he's has impressed me the most out of all the recievers in the country...

QB, Altho from what I've heard, Roethlisberger has the most upside, I can only judge from what I've seen and I've only seen Rivers and Manning...I saw Losman a couple of times but not enough to have an opinion...going wit the blood and saying Manning...

RB, the back that impressed me the most was Chris Perry so I'm going with him...but from what I've heard, Steven Jackson will be the first running back drafted...

I say Mike Williams, he's just so big! And he's got great hands. I gotta go with the blood as well and say Eli. If he's 50% as good as Payton he'll find a home in the NFL.
I also gotta go wit my boy Mo C. The kid can run, if he only gets his butt off the couch and in the weightroom he'll show everybody what he's got.

On a side note, Terell Owens got his wish and was dealt to the Eagles today. Philadelphia sends a fifth round pick to the Ravens and a defensive lineman to the Niners. San Francisco gives Baltimore the second round pick back from the previous deal.

Thank god he's not on Baltimore. They got a free fifth round pick out of the whole deal though. Not bad.

I hope Terrell Owens breaks both of his legs and can never play again. What an idiot. I hate players like him who only want to be on teams that go to the playoffs every single year.

this is an ignorant statement.

Terrell may be arrogant and obnoxious but he plays hard. He's gettin' older and wants to play for a championship I don't blame him. Saying someone should get hurt is totally asinine on your part.

I like Fitzgerald, his soft hands are just amazing. I can't wait to see if he can make the transition.

On the Owens situation, I still feel he should be a Raven, that's messed up.

I know that, but still, he only wants thing his way, and his way only. I don't like that.

I think the Ravens are just as close to the superbowl as the Eagles are....They made it into the playoffs last year with a rookie starting most of the games, then a 3rd stringer for the last few games of the season....

Of course, that's all pending what happens to Jamal Lewis and his "pharmaceutical" deals....
