Expect the Jazz to be active in the NBA trade market during the coming week, basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor suggested Wednesday night. "I think we'll do something at the deadline," O'Connor, who would not be more specific than that, said with regard to the league's Feb. 19 deadline for making deals. http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,590042746,00.html Utah were rumoured to be getting Shareef Abdur Rahim through trade, but that wont happen now. They should be taking on someone with a big contract, but coming out better off player wise (without thinking of the contracts). They are also looking for security, because a lot of players wouldn't sign to be in Utah.
Yeah, there is a rumor about trading to get Gugliotta. This would clear cap room for next year. We would supposedly trade away Keon Clark. I for one don't like Gugliotta, so I hope the Jazz can get someone better.
Yeah we're probably going to get Googs. If Googs could play half as good as he did with the Wolves, I would say do it. And I guess a healthy Googs is better than an injuried Clark?

I think we can do better than that trade, the Jazz need a scorer, and I don't mind if he's got a big contract. Allan Houston just popped into mind but we'd need to give up Harp or Kiri or draft picks for him.
