<div class="quote_poster">Quoting franchise3:</div><div class="quote_post">Holy cow!! Why do you Warriors get so many new quality posters? First Custodian, then philsmith, and now WarriorsFanNC? C'mon. Check out the Rockets' forum guys.</div>

Franchise thanks for the props. I don't get much of a chance to watch the Rockets but when I do, it sure gets ugly. Especially in the box score. 90% of the time I look, there's Stevie Franchise and Cuttino doing their collective 12-35 routine and there's Yao at about 6-11. Why not get Yao more shots? Then I watched the Rockets lose to the Spurs on Tuesday night, you remember Rockets down 3, 15 sec left and Stevie looking like a frightened 10 year old dribbling for 14 then jacking up a desperation 3. Ugly. I'll try to give you some help in your forum.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">Yes, it is a breath of fresh air.[IMG]

It all started when I recruited custodianrules from the ESPN boards. It took off from there. These guys know their basketball, more importantly, their Warriors basketball.[IMG]</div>

For the record, I think I was here lurking or posting a few times before Rudeezy posted on ESPN, which immediately I recognized the screen handle. But Rudeezy's dedication to this forum got me motivated to try to find other fans to share the love. Here are some reasons why I'm trying to find all the best warrior fans:

1.) It would be cool to get more quality fans for non-stop discussion whether you're up at 5am or awake till 5am. That way this forum will always have something to talk about.

2.) I chose this forum because this site is actually programmed well for the user with cool graphics and signatures. Other forums are kind of ghetto or really strange and hard to read or use. The control panel is also neat, but my biggest peeve is that we don't have a custom warriors graphics header like the Lakers and Rockets forum has. I guess you have to be in the playoffs or something.

3.) Most of the other Warrior boards were absolutely dead except for ESPN and that's only because of the brand name. I'll tell you half the posts were trolls, stupid polls, or just gibberish and it went unchecked. There needed to be a central place for warrior fans to unite and certainly not with ESPN's policy or old bulletin board technology. Also, the immaturity there is more aggravating than that 4th quarter where only 2 pts were scored. [Sorry BTW]

4.) Rudeezy and the other site administrators here are dedicated and do a damn good job of making sure discussions are troll-free and ignorance-free which I think is essential if you want fans to continue to share discussions and get down to just talking basketball.

5.) Great basketball community between warrior fans and non-warrior fans. First and foremost, I am a warriors fan, but I try to be an all-around fan because I like basketball. And if you like basketball you can appreciate other teams without the hometown pride mentality.

6.) This picture right thurr by Sir Desmond. Damn dood.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting franchise3:</div><div class="quote_post">Rudeezy you're so lucky. No one ever posts in the Rockets forum now. Seems like people aren't interested in Yao anymore. What a shame.</div>

There's tons of rockets fans at ESPN bring em over. The people love Yao, he's the nicest guy. I'm impressed by him, given all the hype and expectations they had on him last year. I remember the first couple of games last year they labeled him a bust and I thought that was just plain stupid. Every critic was just on him to see him fail but now look at them. Kiss kiss kiss. Barkley even kissed ass. Literally. Actually it was Kenny Smith's ass.

Okay I gotta wrap up I think the Soph rookie game is on.

As much as I hate to know that the Warriors arn't going to the playoffs, AGAIN (hopefully this is the last season I say that), we can still see if they can improve on last seasons 38-44 mark. 40 wins would be something nice to build on.

Mullin just needs a clean slate and a good team of scouts to figure out who to go after in the draft. I think we should do a point guard if there are no potential all-star big men involved. Please not telfair! I'd go for Jameer Nelson or Raymond Felton. If we land Ben Gordon we could be taking a risk that he'll be a shoot first, pass second player.

Look at the board going crazy! I love this. I am working nights so Rudeezy and I have been chatting. I will help keep the board jumping for the off 12 hours and you guys can keep it jumping so I have something to read in the morning. This is my new favorite message board. Back on topic...Sorry for the negativity. Phil is right, we should enjoy them at least being competitive. Oh how the long years of suffering are beginning to come to an end. The 20 point blow outs nightly are NO MORE! If we make the playoffs, that is great, but we can not just rest on our laurels. We need to make something happen. Even if we trade Damp and NVE for an expiring contract. We will be able to sign the likes of Kenyon Martin and possibly Kobe.

Because those 2 put together are not near the player Martin is. As much as I like Murphy's attitude and how he dunked on Davis and stared him down, Kenyon would do that on a night to night basis. Cliffy is a good back up, but he will either retire or be gone soon. Murphy is a solid contributor when healthy, but he is not a Kenyon Martin.

Murphy has an inside and outside game. He is a very good rebounder. Martin plays above the rim but he does not have the outside game that Murphy has. He also don't like his attitude, which gets him in trouble all too often.

    I'd rather have Murphy.

None taken. I have loved Kmart since his senior year at Cinci. I loved his aggressiveness and his dunks. So I guess I am living in the past more than anything.

He's an exciting player and how he does in the west is really up to him. But I think most critics including me are kind of down on him, but you could be right about him being a good player on a western conference roster. I mean look at Elton Brand. He's short but he's got muscle and mass to rebound and score. I think Kmart would have to bulk up being only at 230 something odd pounds. If they consider Murphy under-sized... well you get the picture.

Here is the thing I love about Kmart more than ANYTHING...

When he was a soph in college he was OK.

Junior year, he was getting better and you could see potential

Senior year he was a star and a #1 draft pick

Rookie year he was kind of a disappointment

Since then he has steadily gotten better and better. That is what I respect about him and if he came to the west there is no doubt in my mind he would improve and be a Wallace caliber type player.

I agree with you on that. They guy obviously works on his game and is striving to become better. You gotta love that in a player. I think Murphy is the same way. He was in the gym getting bigger and improving his shot in the off season. I only hope we get a chance to see those improvements THIS year.
