My only knock on Murphy is his lack of a post up game. He's a great shot from 15+ feet out, but really needs that post presence. As far as KMart goes, he's got that attitude that knocks people on their butts; he's agressive and takes no crap and that's a good thing for a team. Murphy has that nasty streak in him too; every team needs an enforcer you know?

No doubt Jay. The Custodian is our enforcer.[IMG]

I think that is a big reason why Murphy tried bulking up in the off season. He knows if he wants to bang with the big boys on the low block he better get a body.

Man, it feels good to talk to guys who know what I am thinking. I could not have said it better. You guys are right on point. Well, except that Cardinal is our enforcer. Just keep him as the Custodian, we will get our enforcer back soon enough.

You're right about that. He gets elbowed and hit in the face in a lot of games and he never retaliates even when the refs don't call it. I respect him for keeping his cool. I mean there's no point in him getting his own self t'd up or tossed out of the game for fighting. But if it was me, I'd pull a Jason Kidd bit** slap, followed by a double clutch Sprewell choke while doing a flying Rodman kick to the nads. Then a Kurt Thomas headbutt rapped up with a Bill Lambieer elbow to the teeth. And then if my teammates still haven't restrained me, I'd just bounce a ball off his head and shoot a 3 pointer. Swish!

When I think of an enforcer, I think of Rick Mahorn or Bill Laimbeer of the Bay Boy Pistons. I think Murphy can be that guy; someone that sticks up for their teammates and is willing to throw down if necessary.

We saw it when he dunked on Davis and when they got in a fight with the Blazers. Chris Mills is a bad ass too.

I remember after that game, Boozer was pissed that JRich did that.

Dont you remember the game where all hell broke loose against the blazers last year and Big Murph was in the middle of all of it and Jamison's b1tch as$ snuck into the locker room. "The buzzer went off and I did not even know there was a fight going on" Yeah right. [IMG]

Wasn't that the game where Wallace won it at the buzzer and Mills and Bonzi Wells got into it and Mills threatened the Portland bus after the game? Ah good times then lol.

I remember that clearly. Chris Mills pulled in front of their bus so they couldn't leave and wanted to start another fight in the parking lot. Thats bad ass.

The only time I ever really hung around Oakland was when I went to MEPS before joining the AF.

Forget about this "enforcer" stuff. Just play hard and don't take any sissy stuff. That's all that's needed. I'm going to borrow a Jim Rome phrase but "Scoreboard" that's all that's needed. If you win, you can talk. If not, its all empty anyway. Did the Spurs have an "enforcer" when they won? How about the Bulls? No. Enforcers are for teams that have nothing else to look forward to.

Murphy is on the way. Watch his development the past couple of years. Its amazing. When he came in from ND, I thought he was just a jump shooting/tall small forward. Who knew he would be coming a real windex man? And he gets rebounds in traffic too, not just easy ones. Forget K-Mart, he's a nice player, but we got one who's going to be better because Murphy's J is more reliable than any shot K-Mart has or will ever have. That's what it comes down to at the end, can you hit your shot when the game's on the line?

Can someone please tell me why you keep losing on the Road? That seems to be the biggest factor and the biggest reason you won't make the playoffs. Every win is key and well you guys just don't plain pull them there.
