<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Nasty:</div><div class="quote_post"> So the question needs to be asked.....Danny Ainge, what the hell are you doing?????? </div> That sums up everything he has done for this team. I'd feel sorry for the Celtics if they lost Pierce. Ainge has messed up so much as it is. It'd be good for Pierce and very deserving for Ainge, since he deserves nothing good out of this. However the team would be losing out and that's always a bad thing. Walker might come back....that's terrible. You need a big man, I suggest going for Dampier since he will be available soon. Give Vin Baker for him I guess, not that he's worth Dampier's awesome level of play. If Vin were still around that is. Seems you should go after Dampier like I said, or maybe these two fellows. Brent Barry and Rasheed Wallace. Barry wants to leave and will be great on offense when paired up with The Truth. Same goes for Sheed, plus he'll give you size, strength, attitude, rebounding and defense.
Ainge has made some preet rediculous moves....a paul peirce move would be the worst possible one. Paul is one of the best players in the leauge...Anige should be building a team around him....actually Ainge should jus get the boot....he has no idea what hes doing anyway!
why are u guys talking about kobe going to boston? he's not going 2, i think he wants to stay in LA that doesn't mean he's going to resign w/ the lakers, but instead sign w/ the clips, he's already friends w/ most of those guys, and it will be his team w/ brand being the second man.

Danny Ainge has got to be the worst GM ever how many guys trade all-star power forwards for under achieving centers then once the team recovers from the first bone head move, Ainge turns around and trades for the most selfish player in the NBA despites his coaches objections. Ainge roster moves and constant mettling has driven a great coach to quit in the middle of the season....Is there really any doubt that Pierce wouldn't want to get out of Boston before Ainge makes another move.........Danny Ainge is the Anti Isaiah Thomas

Ainge realized the team was never going to win a championship with the roster they had. He knew that Toine was going to want a max deal after the season, so he trades him for the best offer he can get, out side of the Knicks deal. Then he made the Ricky Davis trade to get younger and quicker. I didn't like it, but it wasn't a horrible trade when thinking about the future. O'Brien was not and is not a great coach for the team as it is now. Look at this stat, 2003-2004 totals (to date): Brandon Hunter 36 minutes, 7 offensive rebounds Walter McCarty 911 minutes, 11 offensive rebounds. O'Brien had his fvaorites and he played htem too much, under no circumstances does Walter McCarty deserve to be playing 30+ minutes a game. Not that Carroll is doing a much better job, but when they get a new coach he'll need to be willing to play the younger guys.

Ainge is a bad GM, but O'Brien wasn't doing such a great job this season anyway
Pierce should stay. Its Ainge that should be leaving. Get a different GM in there and bring in some intellegent moves in the off season. Boston will probably be in the lottery. There is something good for a change. Patience is the key. As a Cavs fan, I know all about that.
Boston Recieves - Zydrunas Illgouskas Dajuan Wagner Cleveland Recieves - Paul Pierce - Chris Mihm - Jumaine Jones Worked at Realgm. But Cleveland and Boston have probably done enough trading for now.........

No way Boston would do that trade, The Big Z for Pierce and Mihm, why? The Celtics can definitely get more for Pierce than an aging center with a bad contract and a history of injury problems.

Try and get Vets and a young center.

Heres a possible trade that send Pierce back to his home town and the Celtics get some equal talent for him. L.A. Clippers trades: SF Corey Maggette (20.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.0 apg in 35.6 minutes) PG Keyon Dooling (4.8 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 15.9 minutes) PF Chris Wilcox (8.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 21.3 minutes) L.A. Clippers receives: SG Paul Pierce (22.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 5.0 apg in 38.2 minutes) Change in team outlook: -10.8 ppg, -5.3 rpg, and -0.8 apg. Boston trades: SG Paul Pierce (22.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 5.0 apg in 38.2 minutes) Boston receives: SF Corey Maggette (20.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.0 apg in 54 games) PG Keyon Dooling (4.8 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 37 games) PF Chris Wilcox (8.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 53 games) Change in team outlook: +10.8 ppg, +5.3 rpg, and +0.8 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Abbath:</div><div class="quote_post">I cannot picture Paul Pierce in a Bulls jersey. If we trade Pierce then we have no leader, Boston needs a team leader and thats Pierce. All thoughs other guys aren't really star status but they do have potential, Tyson Chandler would be a great addition though, I think we could trade someone for him. The most important move the Celtics have to make is getting Kobe, and thats if Vin is out (which I hope so). Maybe this line-up could happen next season.. 2004-2005 starting line-up C Tyson Chandler G Paul Pierce G Kobe Bryant F Jiri Welsh F Brandon Hunter Thats how I would like it to be...There are a lot of other free agents this coming year that the Celtics can try for also though...Kenyon Martin isnt a bad thought.</div> they won't be able to sign Paul Peirce, Kobe and Tyson Chandler. It'll be like this years lakers' some one won't get their playing time or their points and then they'll want out. LIke GP wants out of LA. Plus cap room wont allow it. unless they clear some room.or thay could do a three team trade where Ricky Davis goes to LA,GP goes to the Bulls, Kobe and Tyson Chandler go to Boston but cause the reason above, i just dont see it happening.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">C Tyson Chandler G Paul Pierce G Kobe Bryant F Jiri Welsh F Brandon Hunter </div> thats got to be the worst line up iv ever seen...neither pierce or kobe are point guards, tyson isnt a center, and welsh isnt a forward...its one thing to have A player or maybe two playing out of position, but your line up there has some serious issues. and pierce said himself he wants to remain a celtic
