What are some good forwards in that could be in this years draft?
I don't know much about college B-ball, so its hard for me to judge who is good and not.

Obviously, keep in mind there are probably not many players willing to play for Oakland unless its their home town or they are getting bank or the warriors somehow reach the playoffs by divine intervention. Here are some SF's/PF's in the free agent market

'Sheed (Former allstar, not as coachable)
    Eric Williams (for defensive stops)
Scott Padgett (if you only want a 3 point specialist)
    Bryon Russell (past his prime)
Stanislav Medvedenko (too perimeter, can't play defense, a scorer, streaky)
Mike Miller (fa?) (constant injuries, quick, has guard skills, athletic)
John Wallace (good athleticism, rebounding, scoring, no defense whatsoever)
Toni Kukoc (getting old/injured? Smart player, talented, can pass, shoot, play 5 spots)
Gary Trent/Robert Traylor (less talented Elton Brand type players, Trent = very underrated)
Stacy Augmon (good defense, getting old?)
Pat Garrity (3 point specialist, injuries?)
Zendon Hamilton (remember him at warriors training camp?)
    Antonio Mcdyess (has been)
    Gugliotta (same)
Darius Miles (young, athletic, fancy dunks, a shotblocker, underachiever?)
    T-mass/Funderburke (?)
Darius Songaila (good offense, no defense)
    Ron Mercer (same)
Rashard Lewis (fa??? athletic, a sharpshooter, streaky, Sonics franchise player)
Brent Barry (not really a forward, can play some forward, a good shooter)
Keon Clark (a talented power forward, athletic, shotblocker, lacks motivation)
Raja Bell (fa? not really an SF, quick, clutch, very underrated)

If Lewis is on the market, he'd be a great pickup; Barry would be one as well, but he's in the early 30s as far as age goes right?

I hope we get Deng or Childress if we can't get Howard (not sure about Josh Smith, but it sounds like Howard is the real deal). Anyway, if we get like around the 10 pick area I would take Childress because he is clutch and he's athletic. He's a very intelligent player, an all around player that can do some pretty wild dunks, play defense, and hit a clutch 3. Plus he's got the fro. He's a good team player. Part of the reason why Stanford is undefeated. Deng has potential. He's all around but his mid-range game sucks i heard. Haven't been watching Duke so I wouldn't know. Duke athletes don't have to be as academic. Not to knock on Duke, but Stanford athletes have to pass the same tests every other student goes through to make admissions.

But yes Childress would be at least my fan favorite if he were to come to Golden State.

I'm not sure what Lewis's status is but yeah most teams would kill for a 6'9"-6'10" guy that is athletic and has the potential to be all around. He's a freak of nature. He's got a variety of ways to score and can put the ball on the floor. But defense and rebounding is a little bit soft. It would probably rub Dunleavy the wrong way if we picked him up. Seattle would never let him go.

Who cares? He can go cry in the corner for all I care. If I have to get someone else to play your position, then you are not very good and I would then say good riddance. I think he has potential, but he is a spoiled little kid who has been fed with a golden spoon and expects everything to go his way.

He'll be a good player that will get everyone involved. There have been games where he has made everyone better. But I think right now Speedy Claxton is changing the game because he is creating for others. Everytime he drives it causes others to react. Unless we have a center or powerforward that can kill you once he gets the position or a guard or forward that can shoot over the top of you or blow by you, it's hard to find a consistent offense.

Does anyone else think this team is a better team than last year, even though the record says we are pretty much the same. The Warriors have been in some games where they really should have just flat out won. That coupled with the fact that we are still missing our starting PF, and our #1.5 center is not up to full speed yet. And NVE has been out for about half the games. Once this team gets healthy I think will put a run towards the end of the season.

I think we are definately a better, deeper team than last year WHEN we are healthy.

Ok, how about right now even though we are not healthy?

Well, I don't have faith in the coach. Speedy is the only person that really opens up offense for others and he's naturally known for his D. Richardson has a good mid-range game, but he'll never be anything special in my eyes other than dunks if he can't improve his free throwing. Plus Jrich's has picked up some bad habits with his 3 point range shooting this season. We're missing Murphy a lot and he does have some post moves since attending Big Man camp. Dampier is defensively great, but you have to make a play to free him up. Same with Dunleavy. Too slow can't create his own shot. Cardinal, people usually play off him and he makes them pay. NVE unless he can penetrate he can't open up offense. Cliff Robinson, too perimeter, but excellent defender, not a good rebounder. Cheaney, 1 dimensional, not a defensive stopper like Trenton Hassell or Bruce Bowen.

The Warriors should get Felton. His play looks suitable for the NBA and he has the ability to start right off the bat.
