Wade dropped 22 points and 4 assist in only 26 mins in the rookie all-star game. He showed the whole nation that he should be mentioned in the same breath as Melo(17pts) and Lebron(33pts). And Wade(11-16fgs) shot a higher field goal percentage and took less shots than LBJ(15-26fgs) or Melo(8-19fgs) without hogging the ball like Lebron. Wade will definitely be a star in the NBA

Of course he should, but when you are injured and miss a lot of games, you don't.

Although James and Anthony deserve all the hype they are receiving, Wade is just as good as those guys. Mark my words, Wade will be one of the top 10 players within the next couple of years.

He might be a top 10 point guard in the leauge....but not a top 10 player.....a top 10 player is a superstar like....Shaq, KG, T-Mac, and all of them....Wade wont be up there....but dont get me wrong....Wade's a great player!

I respect your opion but I think Wade we will be awesome. I know a lot of people have high hopes for this team but IMO they are a couple trades away from being a serious contenders. First, Wade is by far untouchable. They need to look at trading away Caron, Jones, or Grant, maybe two out of the three. They need to bring in a good center. Dampier can fill that void very nicely. He would be a perfect addition in a conference lacking good centers. I mean the Eastern Conference.

Wade has always been one of my favorites. He has a very powerful and present presence about him. An actual guy who can come back and play well coming from injury. That's not seen very often. As for becoming big, he will, top 10, maybe, anything can happen.

Wade was absolutely amazing last night, he really surprised me, I wasn't even aware that he was capable of doing some of the dunks that he did. His double fist pump dunk, that huge windmill, and that monster alley oop, wow.

LeBron and Carmelo both praised Wade:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES ? Before the Rookie Challenge game, the most hyped-up NBA newcomers since Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were each asked which other rookie they respected the most.

Both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony didn't hesitate a second before answering: "Dwyane Wade."

"I like Dwyane Wade, the way he competes, the way he helps his team," Anthony said. "He's helping his team get better. He can go out every night and hustle, rebound, score, do the little things that helps make his team better."

    James echoed his comments.

Two hours later, Wade showed the rest of the planet that what could be the most talented rookie class since the 1984 Hall of Fame fraternity of Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley and John Stockton is more than a two-man show.

"I can be in the same breath as those guys, as well as all of us," said Wade, who had 22 points and four assists. "This whole rookie class is a great class."</div>More here.

Yeah...I agree, I think they have very similar games except Wade is a little bigger and finishes a lot stronger, But I do think at some point he's going to have to become a full time two guard to show all his skills like Iverson had too

Yeah he played very that game.
He is going to become a hell of a player sometime soon.

But the thing i hated the most was that ESPN didnt even show any highlights of wade.
All i saw was Melo and Lebron dunks.
Still no respect for the Heat.

Cant wait for next year to see competition.

I'm a guy who has also loved Wade, and I've been keeping tabs on him throughout the season. I love watching Miami games when he plays, I just like this guy a lot. I don't know about top10 player in the league, but I'll tell you this: this guy is going to be great.
