more than likely he will stay his four years. coach k does a great job with his players and stayin the full four years.. now he does have the ability to play in the nba but he wont b anything to special. he can shoot but thats about it. but he definetly deserves to play. he is the next kyle korver.
i think redick could be a comparison to Kyle Korver he can shoot threes but he had to develop an all around game to make it in the nba
Any Thoughts On Him Winning The Three Point Shoot-Out? I Think He Has A Chance, and a good career in the NBA.
I think Redick will stay for at least one more year. He needs to get the more all around game. Because, in all likelyhood, at what, 6'4", he's gonna be an NBA point guard, or, a really short shooting guard. But, I think he still needs to work on his game a little bit more. Whether it's improving his mid range game, his defense, or his paint game or passing abilities, there is always something you can do to help your game at least a little more. Now, we all know he can shoot and he's a great free throw shooter in the clutch, but, there is always something else he can do. And, quite frankly coach K is one of the best at it. I think he stays at least one more year if he's smart.
If reddick stay's in college it will olny improve his game. I think it's the right thing for him to do.
I think redick should stick it out till he's a senior, i thought dunleavy should've stayed till his senior year, although he was drafted third the extra year of college to prepare his body and his mind for the nba would've helped him immensely....
I have heard Reddick is closer to 6'2 in shoes than 6'4". His height is going to crush him when he gets measured at the Chicago pre-draft camp and ends up 6'1 with out shoes. You do not see many shooting guards getting drafted at less than 6'4". If he could play point guard there is no doubt in my mind he could have a future in the NBA but right now he is just a spor up shooter. Do any of you remember Trajan Langdon? he was about the same size as Reddick with more skills and still was out of the league in a couple of seasons.
Redick can't survive in the league other than being just a guy that comes in to maybe make some three's, his whole game revolves around shooting off multiple screens, and in the NBA thats not going to cut it. The people are much bigger, tougher and stronger, and they'll be able to fight through screens etc and get to him before he shoots. He can't create off the dribble well and if his shot is taking away his whole arsenal is gone. He will become like what Korver is right now, a guy that all he can do for you is shoot three's and is a liability everywhere else.
I think Redick will be a decent role player once he goes NBA, whenever that may happen. Unfortunately for me, being a UNC fan, I do believe that he is the kind of guy that will go all four college years as well. He just reminds me of those kind of guys that have the college pride and aren't looking just for the money.
I really don't think that Redick will be any good in the pros. He's too much like Trajan Langdon. Good shooter in college, but not athletic enough to cut it in the pros. You have to be able to create your own shot in the pros, not just come off picks and screens.
