when shaq and kobe are at thier best and both healty they are unstoppable(so i think), but right now they are not exactlly on top of thier game. I think the second half of the season should be surprising...
Are you kidding? What is the point of this thread, man, seriously? Shaq and Kobe together and healthy are nowhere near unstoppable. You see what happened last year, don't you?
yeah, kobe had shoulder problems... this year is the same (after what kedrick did to him in that cavs game) but his teammates this year are going to pick up the slack, malone is gonna come back in March and hopefully he learns the triangle before the playoff begins and the lakers will rumble............
We know their unstoppable, which is the reason we 3 peated. We all know Shaq wasn't really your normal Shaq last year, he had injuries and was out of shape, really costed the Lakers at the end, and Kobe did have some shoulder problems, but he played well throughout that injury. Now add Payton + Malone to the formula, and we're be championship bound again.
When Shaq is in shape and Kobe is healthy, the Lakers are virtually unbeatable. But this year the key is the role players helping out the big 4. I think the Lakers will win, at least if they get Malone back!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting holyace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">webber + healthy = nba champions</div> Webber + healthy = chemistry messed up in Sac-town
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ThaLord:</div><div class="quote_post">Webber + healthy = chemistry messed up in Sac-town</div> why does everyone think the chemistry will be messed up? Webber has played w/ these guys, he knows their games. Granted it might take a few games, but when divac comes off the bench and you start miller (injured his ankle in all star game) and webber, you get one of the best, if not the best frontcourt lineup in the nba.... last year i thought the kings were the champs, but webber got hurt in the first semifinals game.. when will it be the kings time?
yeah nice equation you got there... how about Shaq + Kobe + Payton + Malone + Healthy? that = NBA CHAMPIONS. as for webber = championship...i dunno about that he might be webber = western conference finals...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting holyace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">webber + healthy = nba champions</div> Have they proved that yet? NO. I don't know why this topic was made anyways.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">He said healthy, didn't Kobe have a dislocated shoulder or something throughout the playoffs?</div> Thats the excuse some fans like to use, complete rubbish to be honest. had no problem dunking, throwing up 25+ shots a game and getting to the rack. the Kobe + Shaq + heathly=unstoppable Was true maybe a few years ago but not really anymore. the elite have improved their teams, have many weapons of their own and can beat the Lakers in a best of 7 series. Lakers winning the NBA title will purely be down to Karl Malone's play in the playoffs. I've said that since the start of the season. Lakers have never had a power forward who can rebound and score consistantly. Karl brings that to the table every night, of course he can't handle Garnett and Duncan who own him but on the offensive side of the game he is very important.
I knew you would be here soon enough Allnet, but I agree with some of your points. The Lakers need Malone or else it will be very tough to win the title..

He is huge in playoff game, him and Payton bring that veteran leadership to the floor. Also, experiance is another thing, I'd say all 5 guys in our lineup are well experianced and know how to play under pressure situations, that will be key down the stretch of the playoffs.

I aint using it as an excuse, they weren't healthy but they gave it all they got and came up short. No one is trying to take away what your Spurs won last year, damn chill out.

Fans like to use excuses why Lakers didn't come away with the title. Kobe was fine, if he was struggling with injury It would of been noticed, I certainly didn't get that impression. Shaq was out of shape that has nothing to do with an injury.

Kobe played though it with no trouble and didn't struggle... Sure thing!

Shoulder injury? more like just an excuse to go bang the girl from Denver, you sure his shoulder injury wasn't from the girl telling him "no" and therefore smashing it?
