Nothing against Stanford or Duke or any other team out there but I think St.joes right now 22-0 deserves a No.1. I mean yea they're number two but they havn't even been contested in any of their games. Only 1 game all year was any team within ten points of St.Joes at the final buzzer. Where is the love for the hawks?:bball:

Im from the area, and i love the hawks just as much as anyone.. but stanford is playing harder teams, and i guess they are rewarding standford for havin the harder schedule.. I think saint joes will end up #1 at the end of the regular season

I think St. Joes will be #1 at the end too because Duke and Stanford face tougher challenges in their conference tournaments. But I think both Duke and Stanford are better teams.

I don't like their schedule, I wish they could manage to face a top ranked team even If It is only 3 or 4 a season. I love Nelson's game but seeing him match-up against guys like Reddick, Stoudamaire, Shakur, Gordon, Brown, Felton e.t.c would be exciting to see.

St.Joe's has a great backcourt, but I'm still waiting for them to be tested before I form an opinion on them. However, I feel it's pretty obvious they'll be number one sometime soon. Stanford plays five out of their next seven games on the road in the Pac-10. They'll come off that road trip with one or two losses, while St.Joseph's will likely go undefeated.

I agree. I love Nelson/West...they the best in the Nation IMO. But they need a test to see if the rest of their team is up to par with Jameer and Delonte.

There only test was Gonzaga. The A10 really has no one this year. St. Joe's will be number 1, WHEN Stanford loses, and it will happen. But, they won't be a Final Four team. No size, and if there 3s aren't falling, then they could be out in an early round.

lets just remember the atlantic 10 is not really that great of a division....St.Joes will prolly win out...they will be number 1 if Stanford loses...lets see if they can make dome noise in the tourney...thats all that truly matters now anyway!

Yeah, the A10 is at the bottom of the major conferences. St. Joe's should win out the entire regular season and A10 tourney. I doubt they will win the entire thing, or make the final four.

I think the Hawks would finally get to number 1 before the Tourney if they remain undefeated. Stanford has a tough schedule and it's just a matter of time until St. Joe's become the only undefeated team in the nation.

As long as the Stanford Cardinal keep winning, St. Joe's will never see that #1 spot. [IMG] But I'll give it to St. Joe's. They play very consistently..and they take their opponents out of the game quickly. Stanford always has to rally off of deficits to get their victories. Just like the miracle 3 at the buzzer to beat their rival Arizona, which to me I thought they were going to lose by the way Arizona dominated them in the final quarter, and USC last night when Stanford had to rally off a 13 point deficit.

Is anybody saying that the Pac-10 isnt a weak conference? They have Stanford and Arizona those are the only two main dominant teams. A-10 has some teams that can pull off some upsets such as Temple,Umass,of course St.Joes.

they're not #1 because they don't deserve to be #1. stanford is undefeated, and plays in the pac 10.

the pac 10 is more than stanford and arizona, and always has been. arizona has a great team year in year out, they're much tougher than anybody st joes has had to face.

a lot of teams aren't having great years in the pac 10.. oregon has been a consistant team as of recent years.. and ucla was the powerhouse in that conference a decade ago.. and cal has it's players every now and then.

The A-10's RPI is better than the Pac 10's this year. But I think you can agree that both are having off years, and both are normally better than they are.

2nd, Temple and UMass are not spoilers this year. I'm predicting GW over St. Joe's in the A-10 semifinals, unless GW finishes first in the West. GW matches up vs. St. Joe's better than anyone else in the league, we're as athletic and I'd say our big guys are as good as theirs.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I don't see any argument for Stanford being #1 over St. Joe's. They're both in weak conferences this year, and if anything the A-10 is better than the Pac 10. They have more teams on the bubble right now.

I think it comes down to big wins more than it does conference wins. Stanford has beaten the #1, #3, and #15 teams in the nation. St.Joseph's only ranked win has come against Gonzaga (pretty sure). Their conferences are equal in my opinion, and St.Joseph's schedule is a lot harder. However, Stanford may play a lot or real weak teams in their non-conference and Pac-10 schedules, but they've made up for that and answered our questions by beating three giants.

Just for the record, St.Joseph's schedule is one of the twenty best in the nation, and Stanford's is not in the top one hundred.

I'd think you'd know your own team better than that. Just because they play in the Big East, they have the 13th ranked schedule in the nation.

no they don't? i could've sworn they have one of the easiest schedules in the nation. they were ranked 300+ for something. in the beginning of the season they did at least.. i dont know how they fair now.. seeing that a lot of those teams, g-tech, providence, are a lot better than anyone expected.

they definitely don't have the 13th hardest schedule in the nation.

what the freak. i could've SWORN they were ranked in the 300's for something. i have no idea what now.. rpi is #7.. and sos is #13.. lol.

this is bothering me. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
