<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Cavaliers are getting one big man back but might have lost another.

They are expected to activate forward/center Tony Battie for the game Wednesday with the Dallas Mavericks after he missed six games with a bruised and hyperextended left knee.

The bad news for the Cavaliers was center DeSagana Diop sprained his right ankle in practice Monday night and might be out. He is listed as day-to-day.

Battie has battled his injury for the better part of a month and missed seven games. He played with a bulky and uncomfortable brace for awhile before the team decided to shut him down for the two weeks leading up to the All-Star break so it could fully heal.

Well, the Cavs still remain injury riddled It seems that when one key players gets back into things another has to sit. At least Battie will bring out more offense and no more Grant Hill Sprite commercial miss dunks by Gana.

It sucks losing Gana, it really does. He is always used in cruch time for the final play of a big game because he contests/changes every shot that comes his way.

    This truly bites.

Yeah, Cavs have a few late wins because Diop was there to contest that final shot, I remember someone saw him coming and threw up this very high rainbow type shot that just stood no chance of going in. Cavs walked away with the W.

At least its not a broken ankle....:knocks on wood: He's day to day, so he should be back within a week or so. Hopefully he will be recovered for the Houston game next week.

Good to have Battie back, but bad to lose Diop! [IMG]
Hopefully we can do it good without him to! [IMG]

This doesn't surprise me. Someone is always going down just when we are expecting someone to get healthy.

God i wish diop went to college. Battie should help the cavs take at least the number 7 spot in the east.

Battie will not be healthy till he has surgery on those knees, and I hope he does once the season is over.

I am glad we have Diop, nuff said.

Battie has never been able to stay healthy for long periods of time, and at this point in his career, it is unlikely that he ever will. He's a solid player, but he is going to be on and off the IR over and over again.

I'm just saying that we can't put too much of our hopes on his shoulders, because he is a knee injury waiting to happen. If Diop happens to be out for any extended period of time, we better activate RBB or sign someone to a 10 day.
