Magloire: "I'll be back" <div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">New Orleans center Jamaal Magloire was a surprise selection to his first NBA All-Star game. He had 19 points and eight rebounds in the East's 136-132 loss to the West. Magloire also took a team-high 16 shots, three more than Jermaine O'Neal. "I felt in my heart that I am an All-Star. This won't be the last time I will be an All-Star,'' he said. "I don't worry what the critics say. Every year there's going to be media or critics that have their opinion as far as who should be playing in the game and who shouldn't.''</div> Full Story
I was suprised he was selected too....but he was impressive....he showed all the people that questioned him being there that he can play...19 points isn't bad agains the best in the leauge....he will deff be there a few more times!
He was really great, such a great performance for a first time appearance. Cassell didn't do too badly either, except for that Kirilenko alley oop. That looked really bad. I never knew Magloire was such a good shooter for such a big man. He was boarding well and defending well too. No wonder why you Hornets fans love him so much. I wouldn't have PJ Brown at the ASG though. I hope he plays more in the future, he's a very humble, sensible and great player. I look forward to more big things for him in the future. You're all so lucky to have him, I'd be honored to have a workhorse like that on my team any day.
That's one of the reasons I like the Hornets . He'll be back you can be sure , but P.J. Brown could...if he was younger. Anyways , keep it up Hornets!
Nothing better to shut critics up than with a standout performance. Lebron did it early this season, when people said he couldn't hack the hype, and Jamaal has done it. I figured that this would be his token ASG appearance for his career since he's moving to the West soon, but he might be Yao's backup in the future when Shaq retires, and log several more ASG nods. FYI, the guy isn't even the star on his own team, but he put up the best All Star numbers by a Hornet since Glen Rice won the MVP in '97. Tremendous!
Man, Jamaal was crazy. This guy definitely deserves to be an allstar for a long, long time coming. 19points and 8 rebounds against the best in the league, this guy is really something.
