Excellent preview Purple N Gold, Lakers are 20-4 at home. I think Shaq will still be riding high off his All-Star game MVP, and Kobe will be looking to have a breakout game in front of the new look Portland team. I feel Portland's new look team will give them some problems, knowing they haven't played together in more than 10 games this season and that means no chemistry. No worries here, Lakers by 15.
Nice preview Purple N Gold, I'll take L.A. by 10. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Blazer lineup though.
I like the Lakers in this game because of the homecourt advantage, and because of the way the Blazers played in their first game with Reef and Ratliff. The Blazers haven't had time to adjust and figure out how to be effective with Reef and Randolph, so the Lakers should be able to exploit this. It won't be an easy win, but I'm sure the Lakers are focused to make a big run in the second half. They need to make a move now, while the Kings are hurting with injuries to Miller and Webber's suspension.

Surely Ratliff will start at center? but Blazers have had only one practise I believe so It's very possible Abdur-Rahim won't start either.

Those aren't the line-ups though, those are just stats for each player on each roster. If you check the Magic/Bucks game preview it has Mcgrady and Redd listed first, doesn't mean they will play center. However PNG is just guessing the line-ups which is all you can do with the Blazers. No one knows who will start, with the recent trade It's tough to decide how Cheeks will sort out his rotation.
