<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe missed a big freethrow to make it a 3 pt game...86-84 Lakers, 30 seconds left, portland ball</div> Just missed another big free throw that could have possibly locked the game up. Could have taken us up by 4, instead only 3 with about 7 secs to go. Damnit.
Mouse misses, Lakers win. Great game! Kobe was the player of the game scoring 30 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 10 assists.
Kobe had his best game of the season but Laker fans should thank GP for that win, two huge baskets to change the tempo of the game. Hit a three-pointer to tie the game then make the big shot to give L.A back the lead. Experience always counts for something It's good to have league pass
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe did his best to choke the game away for L.A</div> From watching Kobe's career, Kobe is a great clutch player when they're down or tied ....but I always noticed that when they're up and its close, Kobe misses a lot of freethrows...
Lakers Win! So Let's see that avator. Payton was huge in the final minutes of the game hitting the 3 to tie, and then coming back down and hitting a 2 to give us the lead. Kobe carried us throughout the whole game, he hit unbelievable shots when we needed them the most. Props to Reef for dominating most of the 4th q and continuously giving the Blazers clutch baskets, but they fell up short tonight. NMG, I have also noticed that Kobe misses on a lot of clutch free throws, mainly last year.

The bottomline is the Lakers won, and the Big 3 all had nice contributions. Still a long way for us to go before we can start talking about another ring though. We should be putting teams with problems away by the 3rd quarter, especially after taking a double digit lead. Our bench was killed tonight, outscored 33-9.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Vegas has the Blazers as an 8 point underdog, but I guess all those billionaire casino owners are stupid Laker fans, too. </div> Well, the Lakers only won by 3, so apparently they were somewhat biased (A weak attempt at saving some face, I know). Anyway, as soon as Shape tells me which Laker profile pic I will be wearing the 7 days will begin. Or we can wait until PH makes an avatar (assuming he has time) and the 7 days will start when I put it on.
^^Yeah it will start when PH makes it. TB, you didn't answer my question, are you a Wyoming Cowboy fan?

Still, he needs to make those whether up or down...

Damn, the game was so intense that it didn't hit me till now, but it is clear that Portland's new look isn't looking good for Zach Randolph.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah I have a special Cowboy for you to use and some choice words from your rival school.</div> LOL. Don't why I didn't figure that out sooner. But I'm assuming you watched the game last night on ESPN, and that speaks for itself.
Whew...what a game last night was. 89-86 nailbiter win. 21-4 at Staples Center, and overall as a team, 32-19. Much props to Kobe Bryant who scored 31 pts on 13/23 shooting, and to me, I think he's very close to getting back to 100% form. Scored the Lakers final five points in the 4th quarter, including a sweet tiebreaking layup with about 31 seconds left, including a final foul shot with 7 ticks to go. Shaq did an excellent job coming out of his performance in Sunday's All-Star game with 21 pts on 9/13 shooting. This is a good way to start the second half with a win, giving the team a confidence boost, and hopefully more success in the games to come.
I think Kobe is going to take over this team in the second half and he started tonight...he is going to lead them to the finals...trust me on this one.

Did you read Steve Kerr's article at Yahoo Sports about Kobe being successful in the second half? I thought it was a pretty interesting article.
