<div class="quote_poster">Quoting panfolk:</div><div class="quote_post">What's the local dirt on this Iguodala cat? According to the usual sources he's not much of a shooter though he is athletic. We need shooters.</div> Keep in mind I'm an ASU fan that hates U of A and everything Tucson (which I pronounce like it's spelled... Tuc-son, Mexico) -- anyway I'd love to say he's all dunk and no shot, but he's not too bad (not too good either though)... I guess I'd compare him to Jason Richardson, he can put on a show and his shot is decent, but I don't know how he'll do in the NBA with a futher 3 point line, and the little thing called DEFENSE! He plays SF because of Hassan Adams being the SG... but he will have to move to SG in the NBA. I think if he keeps his head on, works hard to gain some muscle, he can be the next Jason Richardson. I'd really rather have Ben Gordon, even at with his smaller body. Gordon has a great shot, even though he's in love with the 3, as are most college players. Gordon is a year older, so the fact he's a Junior is about as experienced as you can ask for these days... and I think the Suns need some experienced proven college players. Of course this is IF the Suns trade JJ... if not we definately need a big body.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">That's the one, Varejao. Anyone seen him play? He's like Okafor a bit, except better at the free throw line. He can shoot, block and defend. His stats aren't the same but basically the same form of play, a versatile big man.</div> The problem with Varejao is that he really isn't 6'10. That's why his draft stock dropped a lot this past draft and probably why he dropped out. Teams decided he was more in the 6'8 range plus he really didn't have as much skills or talent as originally thought.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting scorbutic:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm attached to Marion more as a fan than I am to JJ... Marion's been accepted by the city, and is always cheerful and seems to be good to be around. Besides his contract is too big, and he's worth much more than Dampier and a first rounder... Marion is in the league leaders in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and FT% -- plus he's the team captain, that's a lot to give up for a center who will probably not make an All-Star game if he stays in the west.</div> Marion has been accepted by the city because he can dunk and is flashy at times. I know he made the all-team last year but he really isn't that good. Don't get me wrong I like Marion but he scores of pure Hussel(putbacks, fastbreaks, etc) He can't create his own shot and he's been spoiled with good pgs(Marion, Kidd, KJ in rookie year)Now that he has to carry the load and create his own shot he goes 5-18, 7-20, etc.

One of the only current Suns player that shows constant hustle. BTW, hasn't the Suns' draft choices changed with the recent Googs trade. I think they traded away the worst of their two first rounders next year. Correct me if im wrong. I say the Suns should work in the offseason through the draft and free agency, on solidifying their bench with quality back-ups, and maybe a better starting center. Their starting 1-4s are pretty good, they just need more experience. Casey, Jahidi, and Z should be their 6,7,8th men of the bench next year, but they need at least another two that will give good minutes and points, or at least defense to hold off the other team while the starters rest. Well, that's my two cents.
