<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Iverson did not start in the Nuggets' 106-85 win over the Sixers on Tuesday night after missing Monday's practice in Denver. Iverson said he missed the practice because his flight out of Los Angeles after NBA All-Star Weekend was delayed. The five-time all-star didn't start for the first time since March 1, 2002, when he scored 43 points coming off the bench in a win over New Jersey after being penalized for missing a shootaround. In addition to being upset for being benched, Iverson was shocked when Ford told him during a Tuesday meeting that some of his teammates don't think he gives his all. "I don't want to be treated like this," said Iverson, who had 27 points and a season-high 14 assists against Denver. "If I get treated like this every day, I'd tell my family we've got to go. We've got to get out of here."</div> Link
Allen knows he doesn't wanna leave Philly. He's said it numerous times. I think it was just his anger talking. Read that article a little more closely. Because Iverson also says this... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I'd never say I wanted to leave here," he said. "You've got to push me out of town. You've got to force me out of town. I owe too much to the city."</div>

It wouldn't be a suprise if he got fed-up and wanted out.
the farthest the sixers were ever going to go with iverson on the team was when they lost to the lakers in the championship. i say you trade him to the eagles cause no one wants AI to leave in philly

I think Allen Iverson will leave. I'm not sure when, but sometime in the future. Clearly, Iverson isn't happy about the situation in Philly, his team isn't winning, he's still being the same old Iverson by missing daily practices with his team, and they don't look like a franchise that's going to be successful anytime soon. I don't know much about his contract status with the 76ers, but I'd expect Allen to finish up his years with Philly, and sign with another team.
it was a joke he said they should trade him to the PHILLY ealgles cuz no one wants to see him leave the sixers
yea he is a better football player than basketball player. get this here is the names of two of his high school wide recievers, someone named Mike Vick and a guy named Aaron Brooks.

Vick didn't play high school football with Iverson. Notice the age gap. 23 to 29. Get a clue.

Done deal. :-o How bout this-- if AI was to be traded, who'd replace him? Who'd give us 27+ points a game? Who will be an equal replacement? If you guys wanna rebuild and lose (no affence, but like the Bulls), then bring it. But I'm a fan, I attend games, I spend $$ on this crap and frankly, I'd rather not go and watch my team lose contantly. Bring in Kobe or get ready to suck.

Bring in Kobe or get ready to suck.</div> You have hit the nail right on the head here, Nicole. You don't just trade a guy for the sake of trading him. The NBA is still a business, and Iverson still brings in more revenue for his team than just about anyone. Trade him, and it will have serious repurcussions, both on the court and off it. In all honesty Iverson is not going to bring back another elite player like Kobe or McGrady etc, so a smart GM is not going to take that risk.
Sir Dez, that is a great point, about the revenue he brings for the Sixers. Trading him would mean less game tickets, less jerseies, less team acc...etc. Another great reason for Iverson to stay. Iverson has always been in Philly with the Sixers, his heart belongs in Philly. You can't take that away from him because of the performence of his team and coach. On The Article Iverson does sound pretty mad about what happened. I understand where hes coming from, and I would have had words like those also. Hes in anger because a brand new coach came in and acted as if he was the owner. Took control of Iverson on the first day, after his excuse of missing practice becaue of the airplane. How are you going to blame someone on something you can't prevent? Horrible for benching Iverson, but Iverson still shows his heart. "I don't have to be his friend, I don't have to speak to him. I can play for him, though. I can play hard for him and I can do exactly what he wants me to do, night in and night out. I definitely will do that. But as far as having a relationship with him outside of basketball, that's done from Day One." Full ESPN.com Article
This is like the time Dale Davis missed a pratice or was it a game....I forget which. He had a good reason though, as far as AI goes. Being the leader, he has to set an example, unless it's something he has no control over or very big personal issues then he shouldn't have an excuse. We all know he knows that he loves Philly and is loved by Philly. Even if that includes not ever getting gold in the picture. He'd never mean it, unless he lost some more buddies like Snow along the way. Otherwise he's just fooling around or simply was being angry. We all overreact sometimes, which he had done.
they are saying if they dont give up AI soon they are gonna have him when he is in his 30's.They say in his 30's he is gonna be banged up ect.. So if they donnt trade him soon they will have him when he isnt his best.Thats another reason they might trade him
