Vin Baker to become a Knick?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vin Baker is expected to clear waivers today and could sign with the Knicks after tomorrow's trading deadline passes.

Last night, the Knicks denied that they have decided to sign Baker as early as tonight. And although several sources said Baker was in New York over the weekend, the Knicks also denied that Baker met with team officials. </div>

baker wants to become a knick, but isiah want him to be a knick? sources tell me he is real hesitant to sign him because of his brothers loss to alcholisim. he most likely will become a knick but just be sure Mr.Thomas wont welcome him in with open doors

We sign Baker just after Othella is rising his skills.

Stupid move for New York. This guy has major problems going back to his days in Seattle. He gets paid millions upon millions of dollars for second chances, but this guy just seems to fail. Ruins his opportunities every time. What makes the Knicks think he'll all of a sudden settle down in a city like New York?

That was brilliant. I disagree with them signing Baker also. Othella is playing pretty well, and have they given up on Sweetney so quickly?

Well, the only negative with this trade is that the NY night has alot of temptations that can lead to drinking relaps by Vin Baker. It killed Micheal Ray Richardson when he was trying to recover from a substance abuse problem to get his NBA career back on track in the 80's. But if Vin Baker can stay focused on basketball, then I think its a good move by the Knicks. They get a double -digit inside score without making another blockbuster trade. Hopefully Vin will realize that he is getting a major opportunity to once again rebuild his NBA career. I think Vin Baker knows he is running out of opportunities. And he is going to try & make it work this time.

Vin Baker would definitly be a plus to the Knicks as long as he stays sober, if he can show the Knicks what he showed to the Celtics at the beginning of the season then the Knicks will be even more dominant.

P.S Yo Henacy, representin the boogie down I see lol.

How much chance is there of that happening though?

He showed he could produce at the begining of the year, I think he can do it again...I think he needed a change of scenery, is NY the right place, I dont know, but under the proper guidance and leadership he can become a quality player.

Vin Baker will get ONE,... I said ONE more chance with another team. If its not the Knicks, it will be some other team. One more chance and if he screws that up, he will definitely be finished.
Its unfortunate for a guy with the ability to earn millions and lose that chance in life because of psychological problems that have led him to drinking. I hope the very best for him where ever he goes, what ever he does. Fortunately, he is already financially taken care of in life but money isn't the cure . C'mon Vin !
