<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMeLo15:</div><div class="quote_post">While Carmelo has been on fire, and LeBron hitting the rookie wall, ROY is far from finished buddy. LeBron could easily go on a tear like he did in December.</div>

True, but thats like John Edwards overtaking Kerry for the democratic nomination (ok maybe its not THAT extreme). But the current trends seem to be favoring Melo.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kingmelo15:</div><div class="quote_post">Youre calling MY argument weak? KJ said the "people want to see Bron" yet he cant even get a higher spot than Melo in all star voting in his position even though Bron gets 10X more hype. Why is Melo's jersey a strong 2nd if people dont want to hear about Melo?

The real problem about your very weak argument is that Melo is winning while Bron isnt. Bron hasnt even been the teams highest scorer for 13 of their 20 wins. People dont want to buy the shoe of a person that loses all the time- just ask T-Mac.

Actually after the season is over, Bron's hype will fade just like Yao Ming's has. There will be a "next big thing" in the NBA, & he will take all the hype away from Bron. Bron will be yesterdays news next year. Its funny that people hype him to be "a once in a generation player" yet he isnt even the best rookie in his class! Melo is only 7 months older, & he will have lead a team to an NCAA title, & win rookie of the year. Not to shabby.

I would obviously take the $90 Million if offered, but I would also realize that if I dont win, I'm gonna be killed by the critics & media. & Thats exactly what Bron should expect, cuz he hasnt been winning with the Cavs. He hasnt even been the teams highest scorer in 13 of their 20 wins. Boozer is more important to the Cavs than he is. The Cavs went 2-1 with Bron injured, while Boozer went for 32 pts, 20 rebound to beat the Sonics. The cavs went 0-8 with Boozer gone. Bron may get all the ESPN hilites, but Boozer get the results. You are just one of the many people who have been fooled by all the hype. How about actually thinking for yourself rather than eating the BS that the media feeds you, eh Mr. "objectivity"?</div>

You're calling out my basketball knowledge?? How long have you been in the game?? Apparently not long enough. Like I said : Objectively. Did I say anything desparaging about Carmelo? No. Did I note KJ's argument in my post? No. You know, over the years I've learned that perspective can only be gained through experience, and that experience gives you a greater feel for what's coming next in life. I've been watching this sport, playing it, living it for almost 20 years, so if you think you know more about the game then fine, show me your wisdom. I don't see any here, I see someone who is upset or bitter about something and has chosen to ridicule and bash rather than discuss the matter logically.

You're going to bring up records and scoring? - Scoring? That proves my point right there. Do you understand the structure of a basketball offense? Playing PG, which James has done for a good part of the season usually lends itself to less PPG and more APG. Carmelo plays a different style of basketball in the first place, secondly, he's been their primary scoring option since day one. He doesn't distribute the ball as well, nor does he have the same court vision that James does. This isn't to discredit him at all, it's just a fact. "Fade like Yao Ming"? Where have you been, last time I checked his popularity seems to be growing, and it's just going to get bigger.

Think for myself? You think I'm eating the media BS, what do you know about me? I don't need a shoe commercial or a hot-selling jersey to tell me who's a real player. I also don't have any bias when it comes to the game, if someone deserves my respect they get it, if they don't, they don't. I don't care what team they play for or what products they sell or anything else. I'm a little past those days man, I see through BS like glass.

Thanks for the concern, but believe me, I'm fully capable of looking past the blinking lights and spectacle surrounding LeBron James to see that he has a special talent for the game. If you don't want to admit that to yourself, that's your problem. I didn't like Jordan back in the Bulls' championship days, but I damn sure respected him. I didn't like Larry Bird when he driving spike after spike into the Lakers during the mid 80's, but I sure as hell respected him too. Same goes for guys like Barkley, Malone, Isiah and many others. I'm the one that thinks for myself apparently, because I'm not going to divert credit from where credit is due.

You guy's win Trail_Blazer76's "Worst debate of the day award" [IMG].

This thread has nothing to do with actually basketball knowledge. Yet you are in here questioning/insulting each other's.

KingMelo has a point. Regardless of the Cavs road attendance, the people did not vote him into the ASG. One might counter this argument by saying that they people who vote for allstars are 10-15 year olds that dont know much about the game. However, those 10-15 year olds are EXACTLY the type of people that would vote for Lebron.

Whether or not he deserves $90 million dollars is irrelevant (but he doesn't deserve it [IMG] ). To get that much money before playing a game is ridiculous, and to have high school games nationally televised is unesscessary as well. However he has the money and fame, so stop drinking haterade and accept it.

Nothing wrong with criticizing him, but back it up with something other than jealousy.

How could he not deserve it when it was put on the table for him? That is stupid as hell to say that.

Bottom line, this is all about jealousy.

Bron hitting the rookie wall? That is funny, he has had a better season than Melo stat wise, has had bigger "big games" and since these trades went down for the Cavs, the 2 teams records have not been that far off. Let's not forget how the Cavs and Nuggets started the season.

Did you not pay attention to ESPN over the all star weekend when they were talking about worth? LeBron's value is billions, so let's not go there.

Need we still talk about the help that Melo has that Bron does not? How many times must we put that in your ears.

I just better give this up because once a hater, always a hater. I won't let you guys make me look for reasons to knock Melo in this stupid debate. Why hate on any young star? This is pathetic, this shows what kind of biased hateful fans that you guys really are.

    Nuff said.

PS: Way to show off them skills OG!

Do your guys see Cavs fans starting threads to bait Melo/Nugget fans? NO.

That is all this thread was created for was to bait/piss someone off.
