Howard , Declerq , Hunter , Lue , Gooden staying with Orlando? No reports yet that any of those players (which were in speculated trades rumors) have been traded. Here are some reasons why: Juwan Howard : Ever since all the Rumors..he was the first guy to be in trading rumors since like a month or more ago. He earned it , I'm 100% sure he will be traded in the off-season but I'm happy because he didn't want to leave Orlando and really worked hard for it. Andrew DeClerq: Bad Luck? we could've thorwn him in with other players or something but I guess no teams wanted to take the risk of getting an injured player. Steven Hunter: I am so glad he stayed , Sean Rooks probably came to teach him and zaza what to do and make them better players. After yesterday , it was a obvious he was going to stay. He's shown he can do that but in Trash minutes which many people said other team didn't play defense or tried in offense. T-Lue : We traded Shammond to hopefully help our current Centers.That leaves 3 PG's 1 veteran , 1 rookie that still has to show us what he can do , and T-Lue , Maybe we will trade him in the off-season or keep him as a backup PG which I think he will be very good at. Gooden : There were some rumors about him being traded because of lack of concentration , and not mature enough...I'm glad we kept him , rest of the season he needs to get everything out of Juwan to learn more and more. This trades were ok , they are going to help the team except for the Giricek one which I still don't get but I heard Steveson was suppose to be MJ or something like that? I never liked Giricek since the first day we got him anyways so it doesn't bother me at all. BAD LUCK Declerq is injured I was hoping for him to be gone..
I kinda liked Giricek, especially as he got traded to Orlando, my fav team ever. Maybe cause I've seen him play in Croatia (I'm from slovenia). He was a big talent there Kinda sad to see him go, but I can't watch any games (no program has it, it sux), only look at the stats, so can't really tell how good/bad he is for the magics.
Deshawn gives us some much needed athletic ability and from what I hear he is a way better defender than gordan. he looked good last night also. The other guys will be dealt in the offseason for sure john weisbrod already said so, the roster will be totally different.
I don't like Lue, he's too small to be of use and in my eyes can only shoot. I much rather like players who're one dimensional and have a lot more effort such as Bo Outlaw of the Grizzlies. A few players I have in mind for us to get are Mobley, Barry, Snow and Dampier. Seems we'll only be able to pull one of these off as it'll take a lot of players to get good players like them. Since we'll probably be getting Okafor or Howard in the draft, I say we go for Mobley or Barry. Snow has D yes, but so do Barry and Mobley plus some great offensive capabilities. Gooden is a keeper, like Bogans and Hunter, he can become really good. I was to see Shammond go, I heard so many stories of the Magic fans saying how he proved he was KG's cousin. He'll be able to bloom this way though, so that's great for him. Howard I'll miss, I'm hoping he'll not go, he can do both offense and defense well enough. He's one of the reasons you still win games. If you trade him, I at least hope you get "people" not a person, worth his talent.
ugh totally different roster again...lol last time that happened we had a 19 game losing streak. Sergio wow your favorite team ever and you are in slovenia? so cool , Giricek is not a bad player at all I was just mad because T-Mac was mad because we got him and Gooden for his best friend on the team. Giricek is good from the 3-point line , average defense , finish around the basket , don't look to pass a lot (specially when the game is on the line situation.) but he is not bad at all.
TMac_OwNz: Well, I like M.Miller too, he is a hell-of-a-player. To bad he got traded. When I heard the news I said to myself "well, at least we got Giricek, who I like too"... Magic should have kept him tough. He has potential, he can shot the ball very well...to bad, to sad. Hopefully DeShawn will turn out to be a good deal.
Not trading Juwan is a huge mistake by the Magic, IMO. I think that this is a lost year for Gooden, we don't want any lost years for him developing. He can't develop if he isn't a starter and doesn't get consistent minutes.
Eh I am not worried yet... I think the Orlando Managment has said that there will be a total makeover... As long as they dont makeover the wrong people, and that we dont make mistakes... Then its cool.. But if Howard aint gone after the summer.. Somethings wrong..
I agree completely. Something's wrong if Juwan is still here after the summer. Also I was thinking. If somehow we have bad luck and don't get in the top 5, then we could maybe package Gooden and our pick for a top 2 pick or something to get okafor and we could keep Juwan. I would rather just keep Gooden though and deal Juwan.
