    where is this team going

Forgive me in advance for what will probally be a long post, but i want to know your opinion.

    Where is this team going?

BK obviously has no long term or short term plan for this franchise. Look at the pre-deadline possibilities.
    1. trade away some of the long contracts that he gave out to older player by trading(i.e. mckie for JYD)
    2. trade away for draft picks and build for the future
    HE ACCOMPLISHED NEITHER

    What about iverson?
he finallyproved that he dosen't only care about winning like he says he does. i mean comon allen. he talks about owing so much to this city and then he goes misses practice and lashes out at (probally) the first coach who has the balls to punish him and subject him to the same rules as everyone else. Then he talks about how he "brings it everyday". There should be a footnote on that quote, something to the effect of i bring it to everygame, but practices dont matter especially the ones where thenew coach puts in the new plays. The worst part is that it comes after he lashes out t his teamate for having no heart....heart includes working everyday in practice too allen, and then he tells dei lynam that the goal is 22-7 for the second half. 0-1 is not a good start.

so can anyone say cleveland cavaliers...should we be waiting on some 10 year old in west philly who will enter the draft early at 18 and save the franchise and bring people back to the seats of what on espn columist calls "the house that the answer built"?

Billy king...please show us you care, don't go after someone like shawn bradley this offseason claiming that he can solidify this roster. you can still build around allen, but it better happen quick or well be in the in the lottery every year

but dont worry billy, your job is safe, ed sneider will keep you arund as lon as allen is puttin people in the seats, do the easy thing, the whole city will love watching you get excited every other year when the sixers are drawn the 1st pick in the draft so we can pick another tim thomas or larry huges

Where is this team going? With Snow, DC, McKie, Big Dog's attitude and injured Marc Jackson, this team is going down the toliet.

And the Sixers' are 1-1 after Ford took over. Not 0-1.

a team that needs to be on top. great nba city. great history. celtics, lakers, sixers.. c'mon!!

it's so sad to see them do so terrible. i'm not even a sixers fan.. but i want them on top, or at *least* in the playoffs, w/ a + .500 record..

but anyways.. this is what i would do, if i were the owner..

first i'd get rid of billy king, their gm. residential idiot.

get rid of eric snow and his stupid salary.. go get someone young.. like a jason hart, quiet, injured, doesn't cost a dime.

sign ai for the rest of his career, please.

get rid of whatever no name scrub coach they try to bring in. chris ford is awful. he'll be gone soon anyway.. but if they want a real coach that would stick around for a few years and gets along with allen iverson..

why not bring in the man.. john thompson..

then.. in `05.. when shaq's contract is up with the lakers.. do everything you can to possibly bring in shaq for a few seasons..

and that, is how the sixers regain dominance.. w/ jason hart at point guard, allen iverson as himself, and shaq in the middle.

(keep in mind i want kobe to have the lakers, not shaq to have the lakers ;0) [IMG]

i really think that would get the job done.. assuming they can dump a lot of those worthless players salaries. that's would i would bust my ass to do, if i ever got the chance to be the owner of the 76ers.

    your thoughts?

    coach thompson
    pg - jason hart
    sg - allen iverson
    c - shaq
2 smaller role players w/ them..
    and some sort of bench..

They're finished this season. They have a bright future ahead though if AI decides to stay. They have AI and Dalembert to build the team around on. I'd keep Snow coz he's pretty decent but I'll get rid of Robinson. This man couldn't defend even if his life depends on it.

AI ain't going nowhere, but I'd try to move Snow this summer along with Robinson.

Yea DC is washed up and NO D whatsoever is coming out of robinson. If he gets a rebound its the lucky bounce that goes right to him. I agree with choppa22.

In my opionion I would keep AI most defenitly, and 'AJlegecy23', how can you say that about iverson: "he lashes out at the 1st coach that tells him hes doing wrong"? Thats crazy, you dont actually know how he is towards his coaches and teamates, that media talking. Anyways I would get ride of Aaron McGie (hes just getting old, and doesnt do much for the team, anymore) but I still respect for what hes done for the team in the past. I would keep Snow because hes still got game reguardless to what anyone says. Robinson I would keep also, but he needs to step it up on defense, and for his size he should be dominating the boards. Thats just what I think.

So who do you guys think we could get for 33 year old Big Dog? I think DC should go, Snow should go, McKie should go. We need a more athletic, younger, more talented team. I'd love for Willie Green to get some more burn too.

The same 33 year old Big Dog that's making 12 M next year? Hmmm, that's tough....

He's giving us 17pts per game. I know he's a liability on defense but so is Vlade on the Kings. If we assemble a team that can rival that of the team that made the finals, G-Rob's liability won't matter much. I wouldn't mind seeing Zendon Hamilton skip town either.

I like G-Rob, he's a tall guy who's got a decent midrange shot and can use his post game just as well. He's the second leading scorer on the team and I think his contributions would be missed if we let him go, unless we get a guy of equal talent in return. Cause after him, the next leading scorer averages like 11pts. That's not good.
