Suddenly, in Year 3 Brown's Playing Like He Could Be the One

Don't look now, but guess who's coming around? Hint: His name rhymes with "Mommy's gown."

    Um, Jared Jeffries?

    No, dopey, Kwame Brown.

Stand back, I'm about to drink the Kool-Aid!

For his first two seasons, Kwame Brown was absolutely the worst overall No. 1 NBA pick in the last 30 years -- since LaRue Martin was taken in 1972 by Portland. (Over Bob McAdoo!) You remember LaRue Martin, don't you? Of course you don't. Because he stunk and he was out of the league before the mashed potatoes got cold. Career averages: 5.3 points and 4.6 rebounds.

I love Tony Kornheiser...Nice article and I think Kwame will win the MIP player next year, I wouldnt be suprised to see Stack gone this summer, giving Kwame more shots is what the Wizards need to do to win.

Kwame is just getting better. He's shown signs of what he is capable of.He's been playing great lately but I think he should get more shots. Some player need time to become star players like Jermaine O'neal. It usually takes player from high school 3 or more years to play great. The Exceptions are Lebron and Amare.
Kwame will be the future of the Wizards.

I couldn't agree with you more and to think Seattle had a shot at him on draft night last year.......I bet they are kicking themselves

Who chose Kwame in the draft???????? His airness MJ, of course hes gonna have something in him for MJ to chose him over all the others. And this guy is the hardest worker ive seen in a game hes improved so much, its crazy.

I was wrong. I knew it took time for a lot of good players to bloom. Maybe Jordan really does know basketball inside out. At first I thought he was as bad as Danny Ainge, not his fault the Roster wasn't all too good. From the looks and sounds of it Kwame is gonna be another one of those versatile big men. I'm really looking forward to his new form of play, the Wizards really need overall presence.

Kwame needs about another year and a half before he is a star in league.

He needs some more shots per game and he can be a threat, I think that the Wizards need to re-vamp their team..Building it around Kwame and Arenas, I think they should use everyone else as trade bait.

The Wiz will have one hell of a team if they build it around Brown and Arenas. The first step for the Wiz to achieve this is get rid of Stackhouse and start Kwame.
