    Atlanta @ Miami tonight

This is going to be a fantastic game for the Heat. Thankfully the Hawks got rid of Sheed before the trade deadline so that means the Heat won't have to deal with him tonight. We will be going up against the worst starting lineup currently in the NBA which is great. Also, unfortunately the Sixers beat the Sonics last night so the Sixers are now tied in 8th place with the Heat, but thankfully the Celtics lost last night to the Clippers so they're 1 game back. The Sixers are playing the Lakers tonight which if GREAT for the Heat because the Lakers will most likely beat the Sixers and the Heat will most likely beat the Hawks which will put the Sixers back in a tie for 9th place with the Celtics and the Heat will be alone in 8th.

I predict the the Heat will completely blow out the Hawks 97-73. Unless SJax goes crazy tonight, this is almost a guaranteed win for the Heat.

I've got to go, i'm leaving for the game [IMG]. I'll reply again when I get back later tonight.

    ==============================

I just got home from the game, and wow, can anyone say BLOWOUT? In the post game press conference, Stan Van Gundy said that he actually feels bad for Terry Stotts (Hawks coach). The Heat win in a blowout performance 125-92 with 6 players on the team in double figures and every single player scoring points.

What a spectacular game, at one point we were up by as much as 42 points in the 3rd quarter. The Hawks were just plain terrible, tonights game was like watching a varsity high school basketball team beat up on a middle school team. The Hawks opened up the game with a zone defense and Eddie Jones made them pay with 3 triples in the first quarter.

This was a fantastic game for the Heat, the Heat bench warmers played a lot of minutes this game giving our starters a big rest so we will be ready and have a lot of confidence going into tomorrows game against Denver. Denver lost to the Magic tonight even though T-Mac got ejected in the 3rd quarter, so things are looking good for the Heat going into tomorrows game.

6 of our guys were in double digits tonight while we set a franchise record scoring 77 points in the first half. Wade also had 22 points and a monster flush going 2-2 from beyond the arc, EJ had a huge night with 24 points going 8-9 from the field and 4-4 from downtown. Skip also went 3-5 from three point land and as a whole we shot 91% from 3 point land going 10-13. Dwyane Wade and Eddie Jones would have without a doubt both had 30+ point games, it's just the fact that the Heat's bench played almost the entire second half.

Also, the Sixers are playing the Lakers tonight which is great for the Heat because the Heat and Sixers were tied for 8th place in the Atlantic conference. If the Sixers lose to the Lakers tonight, the Heat will be alone in 8th and the Celtics and Sixers will be trailing us. The Knicks were also blown out by the Jazz tonight which is great for the Heat. Tomorrow nights game against the Nuggets is sold out, it's going to be a good time and i'm confident the Heat will come out of that one with a W.

    Here's the official recap:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MIAMI, Feb. 20 (Ticker) -- Eddie Jones got the Miami Heat off to a quick start, and the Atlanta Hawks never recovered.

Jones scored 17 of his 24 points in the first quarter and rookie Dwayne Wade chipped in 22 as the Heat bolted to an early lead and cruised to a 125-92 whipping of the lowly Hawks.

Jones was 5-of-5 from the field in the opening quarter and tied his own team season high for points in a period, helping Miami to a 36-20 lead. The Heat continued to take advantage of the porous Hawks' defense, stretching their advantage to 77-47 at halftime. </div>

Heat easily will win this one, my prediction is by 10.

Sixers will also lose tonight against the Lakers, which will put your Heat in the 8th spot all alone.

I see the heat winning by 12 or better, Wade will probably score 25 to 30 points and look for Lamar Odom to dominate the boards

This is going to be a easy game for the Heat but if SJax has a Amazing game, this might be a close one.We shouldn't underestimate the Hawks even if they have the weakest Starting line-up in the league.
I see Wade having a great game 20-30pts.Odom might also be having a good game.
I predict the Heat win by 7.

Wade is just great. He's my favorite rookie this year, over both Carmelo and LeBron. This guy actually shoots at a high percentage, which Carmelo hasn't done until recently, and LeBron has still yet to do. After tonight's game he will be at about 48%, which is great for any PG in this league. I love it when PGs can come into the league in control and shoot that great, its a great sign. I've posted in the Heat forum many times on how much I like this guy, but damn I just love this guy. From what I've seen almost all of the Heat wins have been key to Wade's play. I love this guy's potential and I can't wait to see what he can do in the future.

I think it's safe to say Lakers have now put your Heat in the 8th spot all alone, as they lead 91-76 in the 4th. Glad to see Miami get in by themselves with no ties. This is a team I haven't watched much lately, but things are getting interesting. I like this team, their young and have so much potential, and are already making strides toward the playoffs.

This was secretly a victory for the Hawks, its gets ever so closer to that #1 pick. They are hoping to keep this pace up, they are right on track.

I've been saying how great Wade is all along. If major TV networks start showing more Heat games, then everybody will recognize how good he is. Wade is as smooth as Ray Allen. If he starts hitting the threes like him, I would say he can be as good as him.

More?? There hasn't been a nationally broadcasted Heat game in YEARS! The last time a Heat game was broadcasted natinonally was the last time they were in the playoffs which was in the 2000-01 season.

damn, the one game i gave my tickets away! i figured they'll win, just not by that much. let's see if we can put together another streak.

i heard the van gundy comments about terry stotts. it's sad how much has the nba head coach position been degraded. stotts will probably be fired, which will make stan van gundy the coach with the longest tenure in the eastern conference. incredible isn't it?

Miami's Rafer Alston extended his consecutive-game streak with at least one 3-pointer to 22 games. The Hawks might have the worse roster of all time on the court with their money saving ways. The new owners better open up the wallet books and land a marquee player next year, or we might have a 'relocation' candidate within a year.

Hopefully we get some good televised shows. Over here in Canada when you're a Heat fan it's hard to keep up. Atlanta's in a rebuildign stage, i'll give them that. Other than that, we rule. 4th stragith vs. Denver tongith too... WERE ON FIRE!!! (Pun intended)
