Tipoff: 7:30 tonight, Oakland Coliseum Arena. TV: Fox Sports Net. Radio: KNBR (680). Trail Blazers update: Portland isn't quite the same team the Warriors beat 105-87 on Jan. 24 to snap a 12-game road losing streak. The Blazers have since traded oft-troublesome big man Rasheed Wallace (to Atlanta, which then bundled him off to Detroit). Former Cal star F Shareef Abdur-Rahim and defensive-minded C Theo Ratliff were the big newcomers in the deal, combining in the frontcourt with formidable F Zach Randolph, who in his third NBA season has blossomed into a dependable scorer and rebounder (team-leading 20.7 points and 10.8 rebounds per game). Warriors injuries: Mike Dunleavy (left-ankle sprain) is doubtful. Trail Blazers injuries: None reported.
Warriors will be pissed after losing to the Lakers by 1 point and the fact that Speedy got ejected. I think they'll take it out on Portland. Plus Portland's team chemistry might be a little weird despite the upgrade in talent.
They just need to win a teensy bit more than half of their games to keep the record they had last year. Or something along that line. It would be nice if the warriors go a on serious win streak that puts them ahead of the Jazz, Sonics, Clippers, Blazers, Grizzlies. But it's a long shot just thinking about it. The warriors should have won the other night against the lakes.
This game us pretty important. The first of a back to back is always a must win, it just takes the pressure off the second game. If the W's were able to pull off a win against the Lake-show, they'd be in pretty good shape. But now it almost feels like they'll be playing catch up the second half of the season. We're ahead of the Clips and Suns and 1 out from the Sonics and Blazers. I think the W's can slide into a nice position to make a move in the West by beating the Blazers. Go Warriors.

Man B.C. is 2 for 8 shooting. I wondering if this is the beginning of a slump. On the other hand though Nick Van Exel, Claxton are hot right now.
Man doesn't look like the warriors can pull it through. The point guards are too tired. There's no healthy players left in the rotation to use. Except for maybe Pietrus. Why don't they use him?

Why doesn't the coach call a time out?
warriors ahead by 1. I'm trying not to jinx them. So reverse psychology was in effect NVE is in the game.
