Sheed and Mike James aren't allowed to play in the 2nd half tonight due to news from the league about something to due with their agent certification or something. Just thought I'd post this. I'll write more once I hear more.
it was because the paperwork was not put into the league office in a "timely manner" according to Espn NBA friday's coverage.
hmm intrestin I was wondering why he wasnt playing any in the 2nd half im pretty sure he stayin with detroit though^
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the league took this trade back. Paperwork not in in a timely manner might mean they didn't get the paperwork in before the deadline. If they didn't get it in before the deadline, we might see the trade being taken back. EDIT: From what I just heard on ESPN the trade was never completed. Supposedly some of the paperwork for this trade was not done in time, and Detroit was never supposed to play James and Wallace. This doesn't look good, the trade looks like it might get taken back right now.
Paper work problems seems to be the problem, no idea what any of this means. There has been no new information released.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rasheed Wallace and Mike James both made their debuts with the Pistons in the first half Thursday against the Timberwolves, but the team was told at halftime that neither would be allowed to play in the second half. Michelle Tafoya reported on ESPN's broadcast of the game that the Pistons were informed that Wallace and James could not play the second half in Detroit because of an agent certification issue. "All the necessary paperwork was not received by the league," Pistons spokesman Matt Dobek said late in the third quarter. "It will probably be cleared up (Saturday)." For a trade to be complete, paperwork for all the teams involved -- in this case the Pistons, Celtics and Hawks -- has to be filed with the league </div> Link
That sucks for Pistons fans, probably broke the focus of the team, which resulted in their loss last night. Even KG mentioned after the game, "I was wondering when Rasheed Wallace was going to come back in, but he never made it back." I think if they had Sheed they would have won tonights game, which could have built a lot of confidence for them, knowing that they can keep up with one of the top teams in the West. Still, they played them close, and I give them credit for that. This team looks scary already.
That really sucks for Pistons and their fans! They had easy taken the east with that team I think, but if Rasheed and James can't play for em, it's gonna be alot harder!
I was only able to see the first half of the game where he played. I wish he'd had played, looked like he would've played really well. Very tough first opponent after joining a new team though.
