Ok the draft is roughly 4 months away but that doesn't mean we can't talk about who the Cavaliers should look at.

Also, we can talk about what the Cavaliers should do in the offseason regarding player movement and the like.

McInnis has done a good job... but he really isn't that "Chauncey Billups" type scoring PG that Silas claims he wants. I think Ben Gordon (he CAN play PG) or Jameer Nelson could fill that role nicely.

Also a couple of the Euro big men, Ivan Chiriaev and Andris Biedrins should be avalible when our pick comes around (if we have one of course!)

    Your thoughts?

What's up, Big fella??? Actually I believe we should package our 1st rounder with a player if we can trade for a prime time scorer if we are unable to make a major FA pickup. Otherwise i do believe Gorden is our best option. But will be there when we pick?? The kid's got skills!!!

If we make the playoffs... this is all moot.

I think the playoff exp is just as important as adding a rookie though.

As King James or Mr. Infante.

They will provide you with the proverbial hook up.

I really would like to see this lineup on the floor next season

    PG: Gordon
    SG: K. Brown
    SF: James
    PF: Boozer
    C: Z

With Ollie, Wagner, EWill, Newble, Battie and Diop off the bench (McInnis not resigned)

For some reason I really don't think Brown will be on the roster next year. If we make a trade in the offseason I believe he'll be a part of it. And if we pick up a major FA I still think he'll be sent elsewhere for a draft pick. Look at his playing time in recent weeks. He has become an afterthought to Silas.

I'm new to it all. I would like to jazz up my board a little. I noticed some people had their favorite players' faces on theirs, you had a Cavs jersey, etc...I'm open to whatever ideas you've got for me. Thanx!!

I'd imagine either Newble or Brown will be gone by next season. Probably Brown since I don't think many people would want to take on Newble's contract.

I still think that its time for the Cavs to start looking more to trades and FA to better themselves than the draft. We already have a bunch of young talent, so I wouldn't be opposed to trading our first round pick in a package to bring in a big time shooter.

I wouldn't mind adding Livingston, Nelson, or Gordon, but if we make the playoffs these guys will be long off the board. The other prospects would be Harris from Wisconsin, Telfair (still might go to Louisville), and Raymond Felton at PG. I don't see any of these 3 stepping in and being contributors right away.

Let's keep this on topic fellas, it's a great topic.

Lot's of things to look at here..

Whare we finish in the standings.

Where Nelson and Gordon are projected to be drafted.

Who to protect fir the Charlotte expansion draft.

    To resign McInnis and Williams?

    To trade Ilgasukas?

This will be a fun rest of the season indeed.

To request work from me, please put in a request here.

I vote for someone who can finish a break. We will eventually get a shooter via free agency, and definatly a point guard via free agency. People who can run the break are hard to come by. Hakeem Warrick.

-You guys are going to hate me for saying this but i think the cavs should trade Z for a top five draft pick.
-The Cavs should resign Williams because i think he is a good leader on and off the court and will help LeBron devolp into a even better player.
-Drafting Nelson would be dumb because his style of playing is almost the same as DaJuan Wagner.

No one will take a 10 year vet center with bad feet for a top 5 pick.

You really think a team would trade away a top 5 pick for a guy that's been in the NBA for a long time now, has had injuries throughout his career and numbers aren't exactly that impressive?
