The only place where Z is going is to a contender.

Jameer Nelson and Ben Gordon are both the kinds of scoring point guards that Silas likes (a la Baron Davis). Plus both of them can shoot the rock.

Dont see much College hoops, but I caught a bit of Nelson last night!

    Suitably impressed.

    Seemingly a nice fit here!

Hard to believe that Nelson was a projected middle 2nd round pick last year, that's why he went back to school.

Nelson is probably the front runner for college player of the year. He is a good point prospect.

I'm liking Jamir Nelson. He plays sweet but he's going to go top 5. He's one of the best players in the country (Besides Okafor) I would love to see him in a Cavalier uniform he would look good to. lol HAHA

I still think the Cavs should go out and find someone who can finish plays. Point guards are easy to come by.

I have four words to say about this: Ricky Davis. Darius Miles.

Its far more difficult to come across a quality PG than it is to find good transition players. You'll notice the last few times the Cavs were good, the show was run by Andre Miller, Terrell Brandon, and Mark Price, all all star caliber PGs.

Only a fraction of offensive possessions occur on a fastbreak. The vast majority are half court sets where it is extremely valuable to have a good PG.

PG crop is pretty weak FA wise over the next few years too. I mean we look good having McInnis and Ollie, so I would see his point, but I am not sold that the Cavs are sold on Jeff just yet.

Still, we need a 3 point man, that is even more rare to come by than a pg.

They can run the break but were poor quality of players. One was greedy, one was inconsistant. Name me 2 more "quality" players that can run the break that the Cavs can get their hands on.

Lebron runs the break well, Boozer gets out on the break very well for a PF. How many more people do we need to run the break?

One more. Take a good look at New Jersey. They have 5 players on the court that can run the break. Transition game is what the Cavs are good at. Why can't we upgrade?

ya'll should go after Wesley Person,I think he'd fit your needs very well and at a low cost to boot.

Anyways,I've said most of the season that Jameer is the type of cat ya'll need and I still think that.

Nice Forum, lots of good discussion. I think that the Cavs won't make the playoffs, and I think that they should go after the most polished player available. By that I mean no Warrick, Podkolzine(sp?), etc. I'm not sure if the Cavs have cap space this offseason being unfamiliar with the specifics of the NBA CBA, but if possible, I think they should go hard after Quentin Richardson. He gives them another scorer with good 3 pt range. Some other draft targets I think they should consider are Monya, Araujo, and possibly Felton if they keep the Toronto pick.

Pavel Podkolzine (7'5", 303 lbs.) I am afraid of, I think he may be a bust waiting to happen, I hope I am wrong though. He will be a top 5 pick that the Cavs I feel won't be lucky enough to get.

www.nbadraft.net is a great site, I suggest you all go there, they frequently update it and right now they have us taking a great big man from Latvia. This guy sounds good to play next to Z or have him replace Z. In the second round they have us taking Chris Duhon. I would really like Duhon, talk about a floor general. There is also a guy from Vandy to look for the Cavs to be interested in. He is being compare to a poor man's Paja! [IMG]

    Andris Biedrins.

One of the most promising big men prospects in Europe. Good defender, has size and wingspan as well as good timing in blocking (2nd in bpg in Latvia) and boarding. Not that polished yet on the offensive end, but scores consistently with both the drop-step and the turn-around jumper out to 10 feet. Has yet to add some inside moves, a more reliable outside shot and some pounds of muscle.

    -Stefan Lorenz

Notes: Member of the Latvian National Team at the Euro Cadet Championship in 2001, finished as 4th in scoring (16.3) and 3rd in rebounding (8.5). Also performed at the Euro Junior Championship 2002, where he played against opponents who were two years older than him, but still managed to average 6.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He was named "Newcomer of the Year 03" in Latvias LBL.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

A project pick for sure. Sounds like he is another Diop type as in raw offensively and only real upside at his point is shot blocking. I prefer a PG who can score (Gordon or Nelson) and then a Luke Jackson type in the 2nd round.

Wow! Pavel Podkolzine is a big man. Maybe someone who can defend Shaq. I think he might be worth taking if we get an opportunity.

http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/haseung-jin.asp lol Yao's Cousin goofy looking it's kinda scary actually.
