I'm starting to lean to the hs player, Dwight Howard with the #1 pick. If we get around the 3rd pick, then pick Okafor. btw, We're not the worst team in the NBA anymore. So we better start losing.
hehe , I don't know about this .. hopefully Okafor can rest and heal whatever he has this could be good news , this will downgrade his % of being the #1 pick dramaticly so even if we don't get the 1st pick and let's say we get the 2nd or 3rd we might pick Okafor. I'll have Dwight as a second option ofcourse , but I think we'll have to wait a bit less with Okafor to give us what we are looking for.
You never know with HS players how long it will take. They could be like Tmac and Jermiane O neal and take a couple of years for them to develop or they could be like Kwame and not develop yet or they could be like Lebron and Amare and make an impact in their rookie year. Hopefully if we get Dwight, he'd be in the last group.(make an impact on the rookie year)
From what I've heard is that it is questioned that Dwight will have an impact in his first year. But also have in mind that for such a young guy you need the right coach and Orlando doesn't have the right coach at the moment. I really see the next draft bust coming for us...
Yep, honestly I think if we drafted someone like Gilbert Arenas or Tony Parker over Sasser or if we kept the Suns pick and drafted Amare with it, that they would all be riding the bench and woulnd't be stars liike they are today.
