<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Purple N Gold:</div><div class="quote_post">LMAO, that was a good laugh Ming. How bout The Worm in a Laker uni? It's possible. With all the drama surrounding Lakerland, he could fit right in. :biggrin2:</div> people not knowing who dennis rodman is just bothers me. i really want to just pull my hair out or slam my face in the door. but i won't, i'm no fool. yeah.. bring back number 73.. hahah. over the years i've grown up and learned to appreciate dennis rodman.. i still don't like malone however.. so ditch malone and bring in rodman! though.. rodman does have some crazy leg injury from his bike incident one night.. i dont know how in the world he'll be able to hold up in the nba level. he's already in the state.. guess we'll have to wait and see.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">But back in the day, you could throw dennis rodman on just about PF/C. And he would not only shut them down with is pshyical on court play. He would also take them out of their game mentally. He was one of the best at getting annoying the best post player on the opposing team, which led to them making alot of mental mistakes. So I sure his mental edge would still be their if he return to the league. He might be able to return to an eastern conference team.</div> i was thinking the only thing rodman may still have is the "annoyance" factor, but he was the best at that. he took ppl like karl malone and alonzo mourning right out of their games. my favorite was when he would do the congratulatory butt slap to an opposing player, that always drove them crazy. i remember one game mourning got two Ts just because of that. he looked like he was going to kill him.
What's up with the 'cancer to team chemistry' stuff? Allright, he is flamboyant, outgoing, or whatever you wanna call it, but don't forget this guy used to work his *** off every time he stepped on the court, no matter where he played. When he was with the Bulls, he was a very important part of their championship teams, giving them tough D and lots of rebounds. Ok, he missed some practices in the past, but is Iverson also a 'cancer to team chemistry'? Don't think so. He's older than the average player in the NBA, but did Rodman ever care about being average? Hell no! When he says he can play, he can, and it would hurt nobody to give him a try-out or a couple of 10-day contracts.
Cancer? Let me state some facts that I'm sure some of you doesn't know. Rodman would spend hours on the film room studying players' shots. He'll study each and every player's shooting tendency and where it usually lands. He might not be the best NBA citizen but he can get the job done. He's broke and he wants another chance. 10-day contracts are given to NBDL and has-been players. Why not for an old superstar who can still average around 5 and maybe get 10+ on a great night?
well I can understand the cancer label...look at how he was acted at times for the teams he has played...he was very disruptive in San Antonio...he was very disruptive in Chicago at times..but he had someone like Phil to make it work and a team full of veterams that could manage to hold themselves together...I like the Worm, but he was at times,a bad distraction for whatever team he was on.
The man is about 45 years old. Been out of the nba for several years now. Does anyone truly think he is gonna be nearly as effective as he use to be if he were to come back to the nba now? If some team does pick him up, I pray that it isnt my lakers
your lakers? no. cause on "my" lakers, rodman is welcome aboard. rodman at 45 is better than most of the punks in the nba to begin with.
he can come off the bench for all i care. i know he has leg problems kj.. i'm aware of his status and what had happened to him in vegas.
lmao. Rodman at 45 isnt any better than your average scrub in the nba today. He will disappoint whichever team is desperate enough to sign him
My 90 year old grandpa would be an upgrade over horace. Still would rather have him than rodman at this point because at least horace knows the system. Besides he doesnt play much anyways

that is definately true. Rodman not knowing the system would not be the reason he wouldn't get signed with the lakers. There's just so many talented YOUNG players out there that could get signed instead of him. You can never rule out the possibility though. Experience can make a world of difference for rodman.
How could Rodman not no the system. He was only with the Bulls for the 3 championships like Horace. BTW he's 42. Still old, but older then Nique.
Rodman is 42 and makes 43 soon technically. He's not older then Nique and I don't see how he would hurt the Lakers. Doubt he would be picked by them anyways, I like the Lakers too, but just don't see how it would hurt them.
42 and out of shape? Give me a break, no way in hell he'll get back to the the NBA, at his age he should just retire full stop, he's even older than Karl Malone isnt he?
Dennis' rebounding game is based on instincts, and if he's in shape, he could definately be of value for a team, because those instincts don't disappear in a couple of years.
