    Nuggets @ Heat 97-81

What an awesome game, Dwyane Wade is a walking highlight reel. He had a monster tomahawk slam in the first quarter, but it didn't stop there, he had monster highlight dunks tonight and I can almost guarantee everyone that one of them will be #1 on the SportsCenter top 10 list and also the dunk of the night/week on NBA.com.

During halftime they showed an interview that was done at the All Star Game last weekend and Julie (she's the Heat reporter) asked Stephen A. Smith what he thinks of Wade, and he said that Wade has definitely passed Carmelo and it's now LeBron, Dwyane, Carmelo, instead of LeBron, Carmelo, Wade [IMG]. It's to great to see people outside of South Florida are starting to recognize how special Wade is.

Dwyane is amazing, he had 28 points and 7 boards as opposed to Carmelo's 16 points and 7 boards going only 3-20 from the field, reason he has 16 points going only 3-20 from the field is because he also went 9-11 from the free throw line. Lamar also had a huge night with 21 points and 13 rebounds, I believe this is something like his 29th double double of the season. Udonis also had a solid night coming off the bench with 12 points and 10 boards which came in only 24 minutes on the floor, this is his 7th double double of the season and his career.

In the post game press conference Stan Van Gundy said this was our best defensive effort of the year and we gave Denver (Carmelo and Voshon in particular) very few open looks.

Huge night for the Heat, this is our 4th win in a row. The Celtics are playing the Blazers tonight and the Blazers have a 25 point lead as it stands right now, so it's pretty safe to say the Celtics are going to lose and this will cause them to fall even farther behind in the standings.

    Here is the official recap:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Denver took a 45-40 lead into the locker room but appeared to tire in the third quarter. The Heat began to run as Wade and Odom scored several easy baskets during a 23-8 spurt that opened a 70-60 advantage with 3:10 to go in the period.

After taking a nine-point cushion into the fourth quarter, Miami finished off the Nuggets. The Heat continued to get open baskets and extended their lead to 87-72 with just under eight minutes to play. </div>

I looked at the box score earlier to find quite an unlikely surprise. I knew the Heat and Wade, in particular, where good, but without Caron Butler's performance that would mirror one of last years', I didn't think they'd take out the Nuggets. Carmelo really did have a bad night, which was unexpected, coming off of a 35 point performance in the loss to Orlando.

Good job, Heat. You're etching your way into the playoffs. Wonder if they can take the sixth seed by the end?

We have a fairly easy schedule coming up and the majority of the remaining Heat games are at home, at this rate we actually have a good chance of being 5th or 6th seed and over .500 in April.

By the way, if anyone here did not see this game, I HIGHLY recommend you watch the highlights of the game tonight on SportsCenter or watch the highlights on NBATV. Also, if you have NBA Inside Ticket on NBA.com you can download the highlights.

wow, what a game! after i missed yesterday's blow out i wasn't going to miss this one, and boy did they deliver! wade, amazing. nevermind the dunks, he did a crossover-spin-floater that was just incredible. i was talking to my buddy at the game and he said that wade's game reminds him of kobe. it's true. they have that "how the hell did he pull that off?" moves. caron also played outstanding defense on carmelo, really exposed his weakness. next stop portland, that could be a win but then we have new jersey who are playing out of their minds right now. that game would be a no-miss.

Damn, that was crazy. The Heat are starting to get more exciting every game, and it seems as of late they have been carried by Wade. They are a fun team to watch, and I hope they do get into the playoffs this season. With the way their playing lately, they should be able to cruise into the playoffs. I think Toronto will drop with the absences of VC and Rose, Philly and Boston won't play good enough down the stretch, their just too weak, don't see them being a threat. Only team that I can see creep up on you guys are Cleveland, it will be an interesting picture in the East this season.

With the way Wade has been playing, people now have to talk about him when mentioning rookies. LeBron and Carmelo have been great no doubt, but Wade makes the biggest difference on the court in terms of victories. It seemed like they couldn't win when Wade was out, and now that he's back and playing great now they've won 4 in a row. If he continues his play and gets his team into the playoffs, you'll have to consider him for ROY. LeBron has been great this season, but his team still isn't winning. Carmelo's team is winning, but he isn't making the same kind of impact in those wins like Wade is. I don't think he'll be able to pull it off with all the hype and talk surrounding Carmelo and James though, they get the edge because of that. He is also the leader at FG% for rookies as a PG... and LeBron is barely hovering around 41% and Melo finally up to about 42%. I'd love to see Wade continue his outstanding play and I hope the Heat do make the playoffs. Go Wade~

Amen my brothers. I just wish Dwyane Wade would get the respect he deserves... Melo and Bron always talked about while Wade is overshadowed... we'll see soon enough
