Another person that no one is really talking about is Curtis Stinson out of Iowa State. He has been a really great player all year for them. He's second on the team in rebounds at the point guard position averaging 6.2 per game. He also leads them in assists at 4.5 per game, leads them in points at 15.4 per game, and he also leads the team in steals with 45. He is also going to be only the 3rd freshman in school history to ever lead the team in scoring. So, I think you should really add his name to that list of freshman. And, to top it off, he was named Big 12 Freshman Of The Year by the Kansas City Star recently. So, yea, I do think he deserves to be named with the rest of those players.

This list is a joke. Not even a mention for Marlon Smith. Played 40 minutes a game almost the whole season.

    I'll go with Humphries.

Not a lot of press yet for Pitt's freshman Chris Taft, but I watched him with interest when Pitt played UConn in January. He did the best job on Okafor of anyone in recent memory. Probably one to watch down the line.............Tank

I think that, though there is a quality crop of freshmen, the guy who's head and shoulders up is Kris Humphries. I haven't even followed him, but when you're averaging 20 and 10 and picking up wins for your team, there's not much more you can do.

He didn't pick up any wins for his team. His team blew and lost all the time.

Chris Paul has done so much for the Demon Deacons and lead them to a great season. I think him and Sean Banks from Memphis are the 2 best on their, and Deng is good as well. All of them mentioned are good.

It turns out that Rivals.Com named Kris Humphries their freshman of the year, and ESPN named Sean Banks their freshman of the year. Those were the only two associations I found with a Freshman of the Year.

I think Humphries definitely deserved it.He had an amazing year.He is definitely ready for the NBA.I think Deng also should have been strongly considered but I like Humphries so I'll give it to him.

Loul Deng. If that guy spends 1 more year in College I could garantee #1 pick for him in the 05-06 draft.

i think chris paul or luol deng is the rookie of the year.
both played in the ACC (argueably the hardest division) and both exceled well. although id hav to pick paul because without much help took wake very far this year.

I think Sean Banks won the Freshman of the Year for ESPN. I don't know who wins this though.
