Go back to the summer of 2000. Tracy McGrady was the third best FA , after Hill and Duncan . Thre teams , Miami, Orlando, and Chicago were competing for him. THe Heat decided to go with Eddie Jones so Miami was out of question. But , Chicago was recruiting Tracy very hard , they offered the max 7 years 93 million. He was going to sign on the dot on July 27th but Orlando failed to get Tim Duncan and turned to Tracy McGrady. Tracy said bye bye to Chicago and signed with Orlando. And we all know what happened since then.

Now what if Tracy had signed with Chicago. He would be the first option after Elton Brand. The team already had Ron Artest who was not developed at that time and they had just drafted Marcus Fizer and signed Brad Miller as a FA. The Bulls would have a lineup of McGrady, Artest, Brand and Brad Miller. Tracy would lead them into the playoffs the first year and the following season they wont trade for Jalen cause they would already have a superstar two guard. The bulls would not go in the lottery for Eddy Curry and wouldnt trade for Tyson Chandler. think about it if McGrady, Artest, Brand , and Miller had stayed together they would be the favorites to win it all.

Thats if Tracy's agent had a fax machine and was able to get Tracy the paper's a day earlier.

    Too hard to determine.

We don't know where Artest, Brand and Miller would be. The cap would be too high, and the Bulls probably wouldn't have the three of them on their roster.

IF they had them, which is a huge if, they would be a top 3 team in the eastern conference. (Maybe higher, but team chemistry, etc. could change things)

Imagine the possibilities. A lineup of Artest, Brand, Miller, and McGrady. Miller and Brand have them set on the boards, Artest would hold down the D, and Tmac would run the offense. It would never happen, but it's fun to think about.

And dont forget they had just drafted Jamal Crawford. I disagree. The Bulls are in the 3rd biggest market in the Leauge, Chicago. Money is not an issue. Ron Artest makes 7 million a year, Elton Brand 10 million, McGrady 14 million, Miller 9 million, Crawford 3.5 million, Fizer 3.5 million. Mercer 5 million. Thats a total of 52 million for the top 7 players. Chicago can afford to have a 80 million payroll. It could have and would have happened.

I agree with crazytown. If we had Hill, there wouldn't be these talks.

Miller, Artest wouldn't have developed like they are now if they had Tmac and Brand. I'm not sure if Tmac would be as good as he is now if he was on the Bulls instead of the Magic.

Miler and Artest would have developed , they both developed on a talented deep Indian team. You can deny talent.

Yes, they would have developed, but I don't think they would have developed to be all-stars, like they are now.

I agree with sportsrock , Miller and Artest wouldn't have been all stars with Brand and T-Mac around.

You can't really say that, because then what?

Would if the Pistons didn't have Big Ben and were stuck with Grant Hill?

Would if Shaq was still in Orlando?

Would if the Cavs didn't draft Lebron?

We don't know how they would play together, or if they would even develop to their full potential. Theres only one ball, and with a lineup consisting of those players, it might get hard to share.

    Fun to think about though.
