The big plan for the Pack this year was to get off to a "fast start." They didn't want to find themselves at 1-2 like last year. What's that? They're 1-2 this year? So much for the big plan.

I don't mind losing to Indy. I expected to lose to Indy because of the whole dome thing. But losing to Chicago at home in week 2 is just unforgivable.

I'd (obviously) feel much better at 2-1 right now than I do at 1-2.

Ah, well... Bring on the G-Men!

I watched the 1st quarter of that game against Indy. My question is this...

WHERE WAS THAT GB OFFENSE WHEN YOU PLAYED THE BEARS????

Man, that 1st quarter was incredible.

The Green Bay offense wasn't a problem against the Bears. We piled up yards on them... Green had over 100 on the ground and Favre had a ton through the air. That fumble by Green, though, was a 14 point swing in the game. Instead of being up 10 - 7 at halftime, the Pack went down 14 - 3. That's pretty huge...

Both games were ugly... At least the Indy game was fun to watch.

No one can complain that the Indy/Pack game wasn't fun to watch. I myself was hoping on 2-1 start with the "1" coming from Indy. GB just doesn't match up well with offenses with speed at the WR spot. Realistically, I figured they would be at the 1-2 spot. The O put up yards against the Bears but that and 75 cents will get you a USA Today. This was GB's toughest game strech, two playoff teams on their home turf. They should match up well with NY (I hope since I am going to it), Tenn is struggling, the Lions are the Lions but it is at Ford Field, and Dallas and Wash don't look like world beaters. I see them going 5-3 into the bye which will make the Rams and the two Minny games cruical. 10-6 will probably get the Pack to a Wild Card spot but it will take at least a 11-5 record to even think of the division. This is all for not if they cannot get the defense straight. However, I will call the Indy game what it is, a muligan against a strong offensive team.
PS: Pack Attack - love the site, especially the "WTF" page. I can think of a few to add.

Welcome to the boards, bloken! Glad you enjoyed my site...

I agree with your assessments about the Packers. I'd be VERY happy with 5-3 going into the bye. I'm just hoping the defense gels here and gets healthy. Getting Grady Jackson and McKenzie back will help.

Have fun at the Giants game! I'm going to the Tennessee game the following week on Monday Night.

I think he hurt his leg/knee. He was hobbling at the end of the game. I don't know how bad it is, though.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to the New York Daily News, Warner (ankle, knee) said he feels OK. "I feel pretty good [Monday], a little bit sore in the ankle and the knee, but I feel extremely fortunate that everything seems to be intact," Warner said. "Everything has checked out well. The structure, the strength, everything is solid."</div>

Apparently he's okay... Just got a little banged up, I guess...

Any chance that you could give Coughlin a call and tell him that you want the ball thrown Shockey's way a few more times in the red zone? He is killing my fantasy stats!
Seriously, I know Shockey had some hamstring problems during preseason. Is he over that? I haven't seen any of the Giants games this year so the only thing I know about Shockey is the 3 catches, 45 yard game he has been having according to my FFL. Is Coughlin trying to get him the ball?

When shockey gets the ball they dont go deep with him. He's usually thrown to on third downs or when theres short yardage to pick up. Its going to suck to see the packers go 1-3:)

If GB does go into the bye at 5-3, there would be a lot to celebrate. That would certainly put the pressure on the Vikes.

Please take no offense to this, but GO GIANTS!!!!

From what I hear, Shockey has been dropping a lot of passes. He doesn't like being used for anything except the pass, and Coughlin is using him for *gasp* blocking! I TE that blocks, well I never... He has seen his share of balls, but he is not happy in his new role, and he may be losing focus, ie the dropped balls.

I watched the Giants/Browns game and Shockey was getting a lot more looks from Warner. Whenever he talks to the press, his touches seem to go up. I'm guessing they'll look to Shockey early and often against the Pack.

I don't know what to make of the Giants. They looked pretty good on Sunday against Cleveland. I just can't imagine the Packers going 0-2 in their first two home games. Ugh...

5-3 would be nice for the Pack to keep the pressure on the Purple. If I was a Viking fan all of these injuries would be making a guy real nervous . With Kleinsasser (North Dakota boy) and Rosey out that is a big shot to the running game and depth in both of those positions. The bye couldn't have came at a better time to get EJ, Claiborne and Birk back. You still have the unsackable QB though. (God I hate seeing him opposite of the GB defense!)

Trust me, I am nervous. Mike Tice was late to his press conference on Wednesday because he was spending so much time at the medical office, hereby renamed the M.A.S.H. Even Kelly Campbell was wearing a boot on Monday for a mild sprain.

The biggest loss has to be Birk. He says he's going to play in two weeks, but he suffered a high ankle sprain. I have my doubts as to whether or not he can play.

The bye came at a perfect time. If we can get a few of our linebackers healthy, get Bennett up to speed to replace O. Smith, we should be ok. It also helps that we are playing Houston in week 5. [IMG]
