If you are building a team right now, you would be a fool to not take KG or Bron first.

Shaq has a max of 3 years left, Iverson...ehhh, nuff said with his actions this year and where his team is. Larry Brown got smart and left for a team that was "more coachable" as Brown put it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMeLo15:</div><div class="quote_post">Thats ridiculous. I am not saying that because he's a rook. Seriously though, if you've looked at the stats, People like Tmac, and Iverson, and Pierce's numbers are better. I don't feel like going to nba.com, and getting the stat sheet man, you LeBron isn't the best. (Yet.)</div>

Pierce doesn't have better numbers, and anyway I think that LeBron is by far the best player. I saw him at the Spurs game live, he was better than any player I have ever seen, including Duncan who I saw in that game, well, maybe KG was better. I would say though LeBron will be the Greatest Player Ever when he retires.

Lets not get carried away here. At this point, Pierce is a better player than Lebron. Pierce is a lot better defender and also has a far more consistent jumper.

Don't get me wrong, if I could only pick one player to build a franchise around, I'd pick Lebron, but Lebron is by no means the best player in the NBA at this point.

    Of course they are.

But ask yourself this: Did Tmac, Iverson and Pierce put up these numbers at age 19?

    No.

Tmac came fresh out of high school as well, but he didn't explode until he left Vince's shadow.

Iverson and Pierce had college experience. They didn't enter the NBA at age 18, out of high school, and create a huge buzz.

Give Lebron a few years, his prime years could get scary.

I don't think he is the best player in the league right now but in the futur yes.
He is a awesome player but you can't say he is the best right now. What about KG?
And if i was building a team around a player it would be Lebron,he is good and young.
He is good but not yet the best .

When did this get into a talk about how these superstars did in their first year? I am just saying LeBron is not the best.

Because it's not exactly fair to compare Lebron to established superstars who have been in the league and know their way around.

Pretty good complement to do that though, just shows how good he is. The bar is raised very high for Lebron.

I was not the one who said he was the best. I was just simply saying he was not the best yet.

What if LeBron gets hurt? That would dissapoint him and the rest of basketball fans all over the globe, that would suck so much, so MUCH....so much anticipation...and BAM...

Just pray that will not happen...

He's damn good...but there's always room for improvement...he's a rookie for crying out loud...he's a guy out of high school who has the oppurtunity to show his skills...JO, TMAC, KOBE, KG...could not because they didn't have that oppurtunity to play in so many minutes.

Why does he start? Because he has potential and is mature (doesn't make him best)

I BET IF ALL THE OTHER CATS OUT OF HS WERE IN HIS SITUATION (GETTIN MINUTES) THEY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SAME TYPE OF NUMBES OR EVEN BETTER!!!

    HE's good, if he wasn't a rookie, ya'll wouldn't be cryin'

He has to work on creating shots (some stuff looks kinda sloppy from LeBron) and also not biting his nails during games.

Hey, you never know, LeBron could have a career ending injury, and Carmelo could be the greatest ever. =P

Progidy, you are so far off and that is a pathetic statement.

Garnett played in 80 games, starting 43 of them, and got 28.7 minutes a game.

Kobe and T-Mac had problems with forcing shots, that is why they did not play as much as LeBron, they were not ready to play.
