Your team needs a very reliable bench. I think you should rebuild instead, so many injuries lately, plus VC is key.
I think we can get some help if we can get Ron Mercer off waivers. The spurs put him on waivers and I think we should pick him up. We need some scoring badly and he has proven he is good at that. Plus he is still young at 28.What do u think??/
I don't know , I think Raptors are just a step away from becoming a great team and that will happen in the off-season , however I think the Raptors might get the 7th or 8th seed but they will get ass whooped in the first round easily by Nets , Pistons or Pacers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">Your team needs a very reliable bench. Thats ridiculous, with a core set of guys like Jalen Rose, Vince Carter and Donyell Marshall - along with an up and coming star in Chris Bosh, theres no need to rebuild. Maybe adding a little structure to the bench for some depth, but rebuilding isn't something thats necessary for a team that could easily make the playoffs depending on the return of Carter and Rose.
^Exactly. If we start to rebuild we will not have many fans. Alot of our fans are there to see Carter dunk. If we rebuild lots of fans will abandon us. Maybe we should get Baker.. Hopefully he doesnt do sometin dumb tho. Like Break his substance abuse program.
Exactly. There's no need for rebuilding. We SHOULD be considered one of the most talented team in the L. Jalen, Vince, Marshall and Bosh? That's freakin insane. It's just that... Raps do have great one-on-one players, but seem to have less offensive strategies than your local high school team. It aint even funny no more. Just look at how the ball moves around for the Kings... then look at Raps movement. HAHA!
And that's exactly what GG is thinking of, rebuilding will be waste of time ( years ) .. We have a very very good core of players ( VC, Jalen, Chris, Yell, Alvin ) .. just build a strong bench around them, and give them the help and we will be just fine
Christie thought he was Jordan when he was on the Raps, Oak was good, he seemed to be the only one that could get to Carter, and Mugsey is the greatest. Have you realized that we're 1-2 games from being 6th seed and also from getting the 6th lottery pick in the draft.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post"> Have you realized that we're 1-2 games from being 6th seed .</div> 1-2 games ???? .. we have the an identical record with the 6th place ( NY ) .. Just the precentage that makes a tiny difference ! .. That's why tonight and tomorrow's game are very very very important

Carter ...)

It all depends on who decides to return the next 2 games.
raptors race for a spot in the playoffs In this thread, you can talk about any thing that concerns the raptors race in the playoffs... Raptors, Heat, and Cavs are all tied up at the 8th spot in the eastern conference... Celtics are leading by 0.5 games. In this point, im really scared and exited also! i hope raptors can make the playoffs! that will definitely make up for the 9 game losing streak we had! also... to be honest... if we did make the playoffs... i don't think we'll win..lets just see. (o and i noticed that theres another thread like this, but ppl arnt going in it to discuss it, so i thought i would make another one so ppl that are new 2 justbball, and ppl that only read the new threads will have a chance to discuss this subject, if u think it was a bad idea... plz message me thanx! no hard feelings plz!)
Well if we make the playoffs we will likely play Indiana or New Jersey, and I don't know if we can take any of those teams, New Jersey being them ore reasonable one, but both ad very tough. Detroit could be the ones if they pass Indiana, and they will be just as hard. PS: Detroit out of theit 17 remaining games, 12 are against teams under .500, and 5 against over .500 teams. 10 are home games, and 7 are on the road, so the Pistons can go 12-5 in that stretch, or even better.
I dont personally think the Raptors are gonna make the playoffs because the teams we face now are very tough, especially with Cleveland finding their game now. But if we do make it, I would say our best bet would be playing against New jersey since we have beaten them every time when Carter was in the line-up but now that Kidd got his full game back it will be very tough. Plus the refs will probably blow the whistle for them more since they are in the upper spot in the playoffs compared to the raps.
can anyone explain to me how da hell did boston beat KG's team? i just watched the very end, sam almost tied it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jack:</div><div class="quote_post">can anyone explain to me how da hell did boston beat KG's team? i just watched the very end, sam almost tied it.</div> Well ur never invincible in the NBA, jus the other day, Atlanta beat Lakers, this stuff happens all the time.
This is a tough one to say. I feel the raptors will make the playoffs at 7 or 8 spot. Those teams below us got pretty lucky with the raps losing vince and losing 9 in a row at one point. Just wait til Rose comes back.
