I would love for the Nets to win tonight and bring that winning streak to the Target Center. The Nets running on all cylinders, that would give us an idea of what to expect in the coming weeks. They will bring their A+ game and we have to stop the roll. Wouldn't you love for the Wolves to be the one's to stop the winning streak?
Man, you might be a little to concern with the nets game a little too early. The t-wolves have to play bucks tonight in the Bradley Center. Getting a win there will be an extremely difficult task. So get that win 1st then we start talking Nets/t-wolves. And the Nets have the Raptors as well so nobody should be thing Nets/t-wolves just yet.
Don't look to far ahead, but it would be cool for us to end that little streak of theirs. Will be a fun week, no doubt. But we should go game by game, and right now we should be focusing on the Bucks game.
I can understand your concerns, but when they say B-U-C-K-S, we'll see N-E-T-S, NETS, NETS, NETS (like the NY Jets, anyways). I honestly believe the Wolves are going to come out in "this is an example" mode. Their tough at home I see, but right now, it's like the Nets slapped our wife, and the Bucks are their noisy friend laughing about it. But anything can happen . This is what's going on inside of MEE!!! ONE GAME AT A TIME, FOCUS CRUSH THE NETS!!!
Hahaha. Right now, anyone would love to bring down my Nets. But the Wolves better get not too excited or else they'll mess it all up. There's nothing wrong about looking at the future. Coach Frank sees the game 5 teams in advance. I know that they have to focus on beating the Bucks, but they also have to keep in mind that they need a W against the Bucks going on to the game against the Nets.
Great win tonight against a hot Nets team!!! Troy was the difference tonight. Kandi & Wally each played well, too. KG missed getting his 20th straight double double but that's the lowest point. Wally lit it up in the 2nd quarter & Troy shoots the lights out in the 4th. Kandi dominated in the paint tonight. We'll need to rename that trio because they aren't the MIA 3 after tonight. I thought the T'Wolves played some gritty defense tonight.
I knew this would happen. The Nets have played some easy teams lately, and they just looked bad on the road tonight against the red-hot Wolves..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting the MDE:</div><div class="quote_post">I knew this would happen. KMart & Kittles hit a few jumpers but Kidd's jumpshooting is pathetic. I'd say that the T'Wolves have half a dozen better jumpshooters that I'd take before I'd take anyone on the Nets. I'd definitely take KG, Wally, THud, Hoibs & Sam before Kittles & possibly Trenton Hassell, too. Kandi really shut the paint down tonight, blocking shots & rebounding with a passion. I think that closing the paint down caused the Nets to shoot alot more jumpers than what I'm used to seeing them shoot.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post">Steak is o-va!</div> I couldn't have said it better myself, the teams that would and are worthy of putting the Nets in their place were us, the Kings and a health, complete Lakers team. The Pacers too. We were the ones who had the priviledge to hand their bums back to 'em. Great win, Hudson was so awesome. The original 3 played really well. Hope we see more of this in the future, maybe Wally isn't so bad....
minnesota always ends streaks, who remembers the Oakland As bringing their 20 game winning streak to the metrodome? oh yea, I was there. That game was awesome. Its great to prove to people that the Wolves can win without Cassell and Sprewell doing much. They are just a great all around team, now that they are healthy they have as much depth as anyone except maybe the kings, but probably not even them
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KG is the MVP:</div><div class="quote_post">minnesota always ends streaks, who remembers the Oakland As bringing their 20 game winning streak to the metrodome? oh yea, I was there. I realized this during the game when our lineup was Kandi, KG & Mad Dog in the frontcourt with THud & Hoibs in the backcourt. That team would be close to the top seed in the East, for crying out loud. Then you realize that that isn't the best team we can field. Imagine the T'Wolves putting Kandi, KG & Wally upfront with Sam & Trenton in the backcourt. That's a heckuva nice set of options to use.
You know why the Nets couldn't get their fastbreak game going? The Wolves sacrificed offensive rebounding. If you're going to check, they only have 3 offensive boards as a team. When somebody shoots, almost all of them goes down to defend the break. So everytime the Nets try to run, the Wolves defense was set. If your shooters can drain the jumpers, then the gamble paid off. It's either that or their big men Kandi and KG couldn't get past KMart (understandable) or Collins (?!). Take your pick.

The Nets aren't nearly as efficient in the halfcourt as they are in the running game. The evidence is that the Nets only shot 39% for the game while the T'Wolves hit 44% from the field. When you're a good shooting team, you don't put as much importance that a questionable shooting team does. Kandi doesn't have his offensive game together after just coming off the IL last Friday. That said, his defensive game was quite together last night. It looked like KMart, Jefferson, Collins & Kittles couldn't get past our bigs. BTW, KG didn't force it inside because our shooters were hitting enough shots & he simply deferred to them. Evidence of the quality of his decision-making is that Troy, Wally & Hoibs almost combined for more than the Nets starting lineup.
Trust me man, if they went for the offensive boards, it would have been a different ball game. Kandi will be more often than not left behind. The Wolves big men took care of their fouls. If they were in foul trouble, you can be sure that Jefferson would take it to the rim. But the Nets got contented with shooting J's.

It's been obvious since last year's finals that this team can't win consistent without getting out on the fastbreak. They got demoralized & they were probably tired from playing the backend of the back-to-back. Whatever the case, the truth is that the Nets are a worthless shooting team. They won't win a championship until they get some shooters into the mix.
