I just read this off the Florida Today:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO -- Orlando Magic star guard Tracy McGrady has made up his mind. Barring franchise-altering acquisitions this summer, McGrady has no plans of signing a multi-year extension the team can offer starting in August.

And McGrady also went as far as saying that he could envision leaving the Magic if they endure another sour season similar to the one they are currently going through </div>

    McGrady Will Not Commit

This does not look good. This is even more of a reason to tank the games and get us Okafor!

This is going to be the biggest summer and season for the franchise. Okafor is a must and we need to deal Juwan and something else for Eric Snow.

Sucks for Orlando but the 2 teams who have alot in common, Magic & Sixers, are in need of rebuilding. So getting a high draft pick would be excellent.

I don't blame McGrady. With a season like this what's the use to stay. When Hill comesback 100% and if we recieve I think we won't have too many more seasons like that.

If the Magic have a good season next year I'm sure T-Mac will be back, and if Grant Hill can ever return to form with the addition of a lottery pick Orlando could easily go from worst to first in the weak east.......So magic fans don't worry be happy......this could be like the year the Spurs got Tim Duncan

I hope so. 2 Championships in 5 years. I'd be a happy man. [IMG]

You can't blame him for not commiting.. I would too if in this postion... McGrady is starting to want a championship before he gets to locked up with a team and too old(thats a long time away but one is good to have)

Of course T-Mac won't commit, he wants to leave the door open in case Kobe does leave, he could shoot over to the Lakers after next year. [IMG]

Seriously, I can't blame him though. This season has been a total dissapointment and I'd be very frustrated if I was him as well. I would assume he would try to sign with a team who has a good chance to win a championship, so assuming that would be a West team. However, if the Magic can bring up some talent via draft + free agents, and build this team back up to one of the best in the East, I'm sure Tracy will consider re-signing.

or Tracy can come to the Lakers with Kobe, Lakers can clear the cap room and make some for McGrady even though McGrady wont be as highly paid, but come on Bryant, Shaq and mcGrady on the same team now thats a dream team

Everyone has said it already, Tracy has a right to be the way he is. He's in the same position as Pierce and AI, having almost absolutely no help at all. Although that kicking the ball twice into the stands was uncalled for, it's so easy to be frustrated when you're playing your heart out and get nothing in return. If he joined the Lakers, he'd be much happier and much better off. Not a traitor, but a real winner.

Um, yea sure. A 24 year-old playing for the minimum. Not gonna happen bro.

lol...Only way T-Mac ends up with the Lakers is if Kobe opts out and leaves the Lakers. It won't be :
    Shaq
    Malone
    T-Mac
    Kobe
    Payton

    trust me.
