Now that the trade deadline is over and the Raps haven't addressed their needs for a Point Guard or Center, wondering who you guys think the Raps might go after in the offseason? I think they have about 10 million to play with. If Dampier opts out of his contract with the Warriors, I'd love to see him in TO. What do you think?
I really don't see Dampier signing with Toronto at all. He would be an amazing addition no doubt but I think he is leaning towards the Pacers. Hopefully Toronto can lure him in to make them an elite team. I wouldn't mind seeing Kobe or Mcgrady in a Raptors uniform but thats just wishful thinking
You could get NVE too, he wants to leave Goldenstate. Barry and Mobley are good chocies for you too, great offense, passing ability and defense. Dampier seems the best bet, but I'd rather not have him so Bosh can stay the starter.
NVE wants to stay in Texas and is probably not going to opt out of his contract with Golden State because he needs the cash. Bosh is not suited to play the centre position at all and he is getting beat up and bruised because of that. Playing Bosh at his natural position PF will bring the most out of him night in night out. Adding Dampier would be amazing imagine this lineup: pg- Rose or Williams (Rose is too selfish at times to be point guard) sg- Carter sf- Marshall would be playing his natural position Pf- Bosh C- Dampier bench- Mo pete, Baxter, Archibald, Rose or Williams, Mason Thats not bad in the East
I agree with that line up. Mo Pete off the bench is his best option. I don't think he can put together a complete game. I think Baxter and Archibald are free agents at the end of this year, so I wouldn't even sign them. Bradley looks good in the last couple of games considering he's been out all year. I would have him back up Bosh and Dampier if he were to come here. The only reason I brought up Dampier is because I read he wants to come to the East. (as does every big man in the League) Can Indiana afford Dampier? Maybe if he isn't looking to make more money I guess...
Just watched "full court press" on raptors TV with J. Armstrong, Norma Vick and some others... They brought up a subject of Steve Nash Coming to Toronot... they said Nash isnt happy in Dallas.. not paid a lot thought... Steve Nash said if Dallas dont give him more money he said his first option would be Toronto Raptors if they offer him $7.5 million or more ofcourse ... J. Armtsrong said it would be a Trade or something, didnt hear the resto of it because i rushed to my computer to write this.
We could use the MLE for 3 years, witht he understanding that we will give Nash a bigger contract after we retain his bird rights. Nash + Canada = hugE marketing success, even more than vince? I think so. Maybe Triano can become the headcoach now, haha! Nash would make a killing from marketing his jersey in canada, regardless of his salary
