Poor McDyess, he use to be so much. He had unbelievable strength like Briant Grant. They played somewhat similiar games. His old self reminded me a bit of a lesser Boozer.

He use to be so much, ever since the injury and the loss of minutes. He went from being a 8-10 rpg guy to a 5 rpg felllow. His points went down considerably. Going from as much as 17 to 8. He'd make a good bench player, he still tries hard and would obviously play better then Collins and Rogers.

If we have any scraps left after we break the bank giving K-mart his max contract then Dyess would be a solid addition. But in no way can he be a replacement for K-mart. Making sure K-mart is in a Nets jersey next 7 years is 1st/main move Rob thorn needs to make. But can add some punch off the bench to our Frontline. Hopefully we can find someway to get the Zo contract off the books. And hopefully Rodney Rodgers will go bye-bye thru some off season willing and dealing. That would probably add some space to add on a guy like Dyess.

Dice is a better back-up for K-Mart than Rogers. I'd take an injury prone Dice over Rogers any day. You're right, they shouldn't worry first about getting Dice. They should worry first about giving Kenyon his max contract.

You already have Deke's and Mourning's salary on the books, why create more problems with guys who will never play for you again?

Dyess is playing right now. And reuniting with Kidd might be the motivation Dyess needs to ressurrect his career. The Nets frontline lacks offense besides K-mart & A Will. And our lack of bench depth period, that any chance to get a talented bigman should serously be looked into imo. And due to the nature of Zo retirement shouldnt their be away we can take that contract of the books?or at least get some type of injury exemption for it in the upcoming offseason?

Was that to bait someone? That has nothing to do with the topic. And that was still a bad statement, K-Mart is a All-Star PF either way.

As far as Dice, I wouldn't mind seeing him in New Jersey next year. If he can get himself in shape he'll be a quality back up next year.

Well I'm not biting. I think all of us know that Kenyon Martin is a proven All-Star.

Oh and after Zo and Griffin, I think they'll be wiser this time. They'll make sure first if he's even worthy of a contract.

I dont think this will work...i get the feeling dyess thinks he can play like he used to...he will prolly get better offers in the off-season than what the nets will offer him....plus id think id reather see NJ stick with Rodeny Rogers and Aron Williams!!

The nets dont need a player like him because he never plays a season healthy and he is over paid. he wouldnt fit in on the team as well.

Imagine if Zo ended up coming back, and then McDyess signs here...I think that would be a great frontline, especially defensively...
