My friend just heard on ESPN radio that Mike Flanagan is out for the year. Good lord... I wonder what kind of O-Line shuffling is going to happen to fix this?

Yep, Charmin announced it after practice. Grey Ruegamer will replace him in the starting lineup and they will probably call up Scott Wells (7th round pick this year from Tennessee) off of the practice squad. Grey is solid at the point of attack but isn't nearly as effective as Flanny when pulling or up blocking. The guy to keep a watch on is Scott Wells. He was a 4 year starter at Tenn but his short build and arms kept him from moving up any draft boards. He's a tough guy with a nasty mean streak in him (according to the GB beat writers) and was going to sew up a spot on the 53. However, he had some injuries late in camp and with the Flanny situation, they needed at least one backup center (Grey). Both Grey and Wells only play center so with Grey healthy and Wells not, he was cut and was later placed on the practice squad. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Scott Wells start later in the season.

When the Packers cut Wells in order to keep two punters (among other questionable choices), I was sure that someone would pick him up off waivers. We lucked out being able to sign him to the practice squad.

Looks like Sherman dodged another bullet.
