This is an argument that can't be resolved, so I don't know why it flares up once every couple of weeks.

If I hear the "Anthony's team is in the playoffs and Lebron's isn't" argument any more I'm going to start puking. Voshon Lenard, Jon Barry, Andre Miller and the other additions are why the team is so much better (yes, Anthony has a part too). If you simply added Carmelo to last years team, they'd probably have about 12 wins right now.

Lebron is getting the same amount of rebounds and he's a guard where as Anthony is a forward. This makes it pretty obvious that Lebron is the better rebounder.

Please tell me the ways in which Carmelo can score that Lebron can't. I'd really like to hear these.

McGrady is just spouting off because his team sucks and he's probably jealous of all the attention Lebron is getting.

After his 2nd round comment in last year's playoffs, I don't think anybody takes anything he has to say seriously.

Melo gets to the line much better than LeBron. Also, from what I've seen LeBron seems to take jumpers off the dribble a lot more often than he should, while Melo goes to the rim pretty often. That being said, LeBron is still the better player. T-Mac's comments are ironically a lot like what Carmelo said about Kirilenko, on how he scores more than AK (on a lot more shot attempts, he forgot to mention) and in Melo's eyes that means he's the better player.

Why do people say LeBron is a point guard? Whens the last time you seen a freaking 6'8 point guard?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_Fever_834:</div><div class="quote_post">King James....you would take those 3 rookies over McGrady and Kobe? Two players that are already at the top of their level and into their primes? You need to stop sippin' that gin and juice and get back into reality. [IMG]</div>

I agree...you could probably make a case for taking LeBron over them in the long run, but Carmelo and Wade? That's a crazy thing to say, Carmelo lacks an overall game that T-Mac and Kobe do. He will improve that over the years, but I'm not to sure you could make a statement like that right now. I'm sorry but but realisticly Carmelo and Wade will never be the type of scorers that McGrady and Kobe are. It's possible, but I doubt it. Both of our statements are very pre-mature though, we'll have to wait and see how everything plays out in a few years. I also don't know if your talking about NOW, or in 5 years, KJ.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMelO15:</div><div class="quote_post">]Whens the last time you seen 2 19 year olds play this good? Now, if you want to win now, your going to take Tmac and Kobe. You want to start building a team around players who are going to average better numbers than Kobe and Tmacs numbers now in about 3-5 years, I'll take Melo, Bron, or Wade anyday.</div>

Now? Well dating back to last season, McGrady averaged 32-6-5, and Kobe with 30-7-6. Many things have changed this year but McGrady is putting up similar numbers, and Kobe is just starting to get going again. Honestly, the only player who I think can surpass those type of numbers in 3-5 years is LeBron. Probably not Carmelo, possibly Wade but I doubt it.

By the way, CANT STOP ME, when's the last time you've actually adding something good to the discussion? Your one line posts are not even worth responding to.

No, I didn't forget about Magic. LeBron is just not a true point guard. He's a Small Forward, and with his turnovers, you wouldn't want him running the point.

PGs usualy have alot of turnovers and i wouldn't mind if he was running the point.

this is cool... carmelo or lebron? give the award to both rookies because they've been playing outstanding all season long and both have had a huge impact on each team. The Nugs are already winning but the Cavs are catching on the Heat now for the 8th playoff seed. If both teams (Nugs and Cavs) end up going to playoffs, I think it's gonna be co-ROY for Melo and Bronbron!

Co-Rookie of the year is the most probable situation. Face it. Both these players improved their teams and both these players are putting great numbers as teenagers. They both deserve it together.

How about this, T.J Ford will be ahead of both Melo and Wade in the ROY running. Ford I think has done a great job leading his team, and has made everyone around him better *Kinda like LeBron does* Ford doesn't score enough to be ROY but i think that he should be the runner up over Melo. Melo is a great and will be a great player, but he doesn't mean as much to their team than both James and Ford have.

Ford has no chance of getting 2nd in the ROY voting. Lebron, Carmelo, and Wade are definitely going to be ahead of him. After that, I think Bosh and Hinrich have also performed better.

Other than assists, Ford really has done nothing outstanding. He is only averaging 7 points a game and a few boards. For a guy with a reputation of having such great ball control and being a reliabe PG, he is 4th in the NBA in turovers per 48 minutes.

He's a solid rookie, but nowhere near the 2nd best this year.

I havent read the whole thread - just the original post. But my reply to T-Mac is he's a hater. He's pissed that LeBron has already done what it took T-Mac 4 years to do. How can you say in your right mind LeBron doesn't deserve ROY?? Mello and LeBron should share it, it's only right.

It's not even worth reading the whole thread. All I see is biased opinions and people that seem to be looking at these situations with their eyes closed.

T-Mac is an embarrassment. You would think after the Pistons came back to beat the Magic to knock them out of the playoffs that he would have kept his mouth shut.

    McBaby never learns.

Now I <font color="Red">close this thread</font>, because it is pointless.
