Details: Who: (26-32) vs (34-24) Where: Toyota Center When: Sundau, Feb 29th, 1pm TV: KONG, NBATV Notes: This game marks the toughest stretch of Seattle's season, as they do the Texan Road Trip of Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, before stopping off in Los Angeles to take on the Lakers, all in a six day span. The Sonics are 2-0 against the Rockets this season, who look set to make the playoffs after missing out last year. Memphis were the last team with a winning record that Seattle have beaten, and that was on January 9th.
I think we will win this game agenst houston and beat San Antiono now that Duncan is out for 5 games. I am not so sure about Dallas thou.
We should beat the Rockets, but then again we should have beat the Suns... Sonics by 7 im hoping. Note: I think you got the Rockets' record wrong Dez.

I was just about to do this preview, but oh well, thanks for saving the trouble Dez. I think that the Rockets should take this one easily. Seattle has no-one who can contend with Yao inside and Shard's production will be cut off by Adrian Griffin and Jim Jackson. Rockets by 5.
The Sonics are up 45-37 with 10 minutes to go in the third quarter. Yao Ming is a no factor at this stage with 6 points and no rebounds. Kelvin Cato is playing great for the Rockets with 6 points and 8 rebounds. Vladamir Radmanovic however is "the man" in this game leading all scorers with 9 points while also grabbing 9 rebounds. The Rockets always struggle against the Sonics however this game should come down to the wire.
The Rockets just don't look concentrated enough, I'm starting to get second thoughts about their commitment.
This game is neck and neck. Yao is never usually a factor against the Sonics, which is very strange. At the moment it's Cato and Radmanovic with double doubles, and Potapenko and Yao having a tough battle inside. Typical Sonics - they struggle against Phoenix, then go and match Houston in Texas.
The Houston Rockets are really struggling. They are shooting 33.8% from the field. This is a close game.
Sonics have p ulled away now behind the shooting of Ray, Radman and Rashard Lewis. Mind boggling this, we haven't beaten a team with a winning record since January 9th against Memphis, yet we can go to Texas and win. This may be the only one though, with Dallas, San Antonio and the Lakers in the next five days.
Final score Rockets 80, Supersonics 97 The Rockets really struggled shooting. Radmanovic,POTAPENKO and LEWIS all played great to help the Sonics Win. Congrats to the Sonics.
Lose to Phoenix at home, beat the Rockets away. Consistency, anyone? Just two nights after losing to the West's cellar team Phoenix, Seattle bounced back to start their Texas roadtrip with a big win over the playoff-bound Rockets, 97-80. Tied at 71-71 halfway through the final period, the Sonics finished on a 26-9 run, puncuated by nine Rashard Lewis points during the spurt, to go into their game against Dallas on national TV with confidence. This also wrapped up the season series for Seattle, as the Rockets continued their woes against a team they have generally struggled to beat. Lewis led all scorers with 22, while Vladimir Radmanovic had perhaps his best game of the season from the bench, posting 19 and 11. Ray Allen again struggled with his shot, but still had 14 points, five rebounds and seven dimes, including a big three to make it 76-71 and give the Sonics momentum. Vitaly Potapenko asserted his physical presence on Yao, matching a season high 17, while Antonio Daniels continued his solid play from the point with nine points and seven assists. For Houston, five players scored in double figures, led by Steve Francis' 15. Kelvin Cato added a double double with 11 and 11, while both Yao and Jim Jackson struggled with their shooting, with 14 each on a combined 6-21 from the field. The key to the game was the physical defense put on Yao, who only took nine shots and was often outpointed under the basket by Potapenko. Seattle's overall defense was at a much higher level than normal, limiting the Rockets to 34% shooting, while having 27 assists to only 14. In a rare occurance, the Rockets shot 26 threes to only 15 for Seattle, making only six to the Sonics' eight. Box Score courtesy of NBA.com. Next Game: @ Mavericks, Tuesday March 2nd (ESPN)
