Damn you got it before I did. Dr. J to the Sixers for whatever the Nets got, it doesn't matter.

Moses to the Rockets for Roy Hinson.

Antonio Davis and Jerome Williams for Jalen Rose and who? DONYALL MARSHALL!! Well it's not the worst in history. Probably Kobe for Divac. Divac is good with the Kings though but imagine Mike Bibby, Kobe, Peja, Chris Webber and Brad Miller. That line-up probably wouldn't have happened but wow! Would that have ever been a team!

Ummm Divac was traded to the HORNETS, not to the Kings [IMG] ... so in all probability even if Kobe had been with the Hornets, he wouldn't have signed with the Kings.

Also, I can't see why everybody calls this trade bad. The Hornets got a pretty good big man in a deal that was pre-orchestrated. Jerry West made a deal before the draft to give Divac, a proven NBA center, for Kobe, a high school SG. Also, Kobe would have refused to play for the Hornets even if they hadn't traded him- in a deal that he and West made, he refused to work out with other teams before the draft- he only worked out with the Lakers.

Guys now its my turn to defend my Bucks

OK the Tractor for Dirk trade was bad, but we woulda never taken Dirk if the deal wasn't pre-arranged, no one knew about him except Dallas.

As for the guy that posted about the GP trade, did you forget we got this young up and coming star named Desmond Mason, and you are forgetting it wouldn't have opened the SG spot for All-Star Redd.

And the Cassell trade, I would do that one again. Joe Smith is one of the reasons we are surprising people. I know Cassell is an All-Star but he didn't fit in this teams direction and we needed low post badly, and to open up the PG spot for TJ.

If the Hornets didn't have a pre-orchestrated trade with the LAkers, you can argue that they would've drafted someone else....leaving the door open wide-open for the Kings to draft Kobe at #14 (instead of Peja). The Kings were really high on Kobe and were set to pick him...knowing that, Jerry West traded for the #13th pick (one pick ahead of them)...Lakers were also looking to unload Divac to free up salary to sign Shaq...ingenious by West...

anyways, so technically, if the trade didn't happen, the Kings would've had Kobe, but <u>no Peja</u>...(altho I kno that's not what AirJordan meant)...I'm just sayin [IMG] , and perhaps over analyzing...

How about an aging Mitch Richmond for Chris Webber as the Wizards chose to keep Howard instead.

Shammond Williams for Sean Rooks. Certainly changed the power balance in the East.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">Ben Wallace for Grant Hill. Grant isn't a big help for Magic and look at Big Ben now, he's an all-star.</div>
If he were even playing he would be a huge help. I think he was an all-star all 6 years in Detroit. If he were healthy and playing like he was when he left Detroit (25.8ppg, 6.60rpg, 5.2apg), that trade would have been good.
His injury is unfortunate, hopefully he can come back and play like the all-star he was.

Here are two trades not mentioned yet:

The Warriors trading Wilt Chamberlain to the 76ers for three players and cash. Of those three players only one of them actually played for the Warriors and he only played for two seasons before leaving the nba.

The Blazers and Buffalo's team both traded Moses Malone and he ended up in Houston. The Blazers got one first-round pick from Buffalo while Buffalo got two first-round picks from Houston.

Rasheed Wallace for Bob Sura and Zelly Rebracca. Not a trade, but drafting Sam Bowie over MJ...
