<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Ex-NBA player A.C. Green was asked whether he thought today's NBA compared to the game that he played in the 80's.

"Today's game in this league isn't even comparable to 10 years ago, 15 years ago, by any stretch of the imagination," Green said. "The only common denominator is the ball is round. The athletes are more talented across the board, but it's not the same approach or respect for the game."</div>

Definitely agree with that statement. The NBA has great talent, but the players lack respect for their elders who paved the paths.

The players also seem to think they don't need to practice or respect the coach which ruins SOME teams chemistry, not all, but some. They get by just on physical talent, but could be soooo much better with just some more shooting practice, or drills or just time with the ball.

I agree 100%, these guys now a days are amazing atheletes, bigger, stronger, and quicker than even the players in the 80's. BUT.....They have no love for the game, it's a paycheck, do you really think KOBE bleeds Laker Purple like Magic did? Do you think Pierce bleeds Celtic green like Bird? No freaking way, it's a joke. I am so tired of seeing me first, then me, then me, then you basketball. I grow tired of the 80-78 35% shooting games you see today, oh, and where in the blue ***** is the mid range jumpshoot? Can anyone in the league hit a 15 footer?

Give me the mid to late 80's, 115-110 40% shooting games anyday of the week.

    Regards

Good call on that on. I was just a little boy back in the mid 80's but loved to see those players play and give everything on that court. Now its all about the money. Its ruining the game.

    [sorry for my bad english]
