This O'Sullivan kid looks interesting... From the Saints Website: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Played four seasons at Cal-Davis - including three as a starter - and closed his career as one of the nation's most decorated quarterbacks...Closed as UC Davis career leader in total offense (11,544), passing attempts (1,070), completions (669), yards (10,475) and touchdowns (96)...Enjoyed a banner senior year as the team co-captain as he was a National Finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy for the second consecutive year...Completed 255 of 406 passes for school-record 3,826 yards and 32 TDs...Finished sixth nationally in passing efficiency (165.2), and fourth in total offense (316.7)...Only passer in school history to complete three seasons of 3,000 or more passing yards...Posted a sensational junior season in 2000, as the team co-captain was a national finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy and was the only Division II player to receive a vote for the Heisman Trophy...All-America selection by Associated Press (third team), as he completed 204-of-318 passes for 3,679 yards, 38 TD passes and 11 interceptions...Also had 70 rushes for 473 yards and four TDs...As a sophomore in 1999, was 208-of-341 (61.0 pct.) for 3,217 yards, 26 TDs and 16 interceptions&Redshirted as a freshman.</div> Who knows? Maybe this will work out... I sure wish we'd hurry up and get Caroll and Jackson off the injury list.
I'm sorry i can't celebrate at the moment. I've been throwing up all day. J.T. O'Sullivan will be an excelent back up for Favre. Mark my words he will be a very good Q in a couple of years. Now if you could excuse me i've got more bitching to do.
Hate to see you suffer Bleedblk&gld but I would have thought Charmin would have held out for a 1st rounder. JT looked well in the preseason but there is a reason on why he is a 3rd stringer and not able to take over Bowman's spot. However, he is young and could turn out. All in all, the Saints got a good DB today and the Pack still has questions in the secondary.
So, if the Pack acquired this O'sullivan cat. What are their plans for Nall. I am taking into account that Pederson is getting long in the tooth also. I was really inpressed w/ him during the 03 NFL europe campaign. When Feidler goes after the season, would Green Bay interested in trading? Say; Arturo Freeman for Nall & a 5th?

He knows the offense but is a noodle arm. Once Favre went out, the Giants didn't respect the passing game, and really had no reason to with Dougie.
Pederson's out six weeks with a broken rib and a messed up transverse process. He got hurt early, apparently, while scrambling out of bounds (the late hit non-call). That's why he couldn't throw later in the game...
Wow...how much does that suck. You play backup to the all-time NFL iron man and the one time you get in the game you get injured. I got to say I am very happy to see McKenzie go to the Saints. I like the Saints (although they should be starting Bouman)
*laughs* I love your signature quote, vikingfan. That is just plain classic. McKenzie and the Saints deserve each other. Both he and the franchise have dark, stormy clouds looming over their heads... It's a match made in hell. I bet he gets injured in his first game and is out for the year. That's how Karma works, folks.

The Saints do seem to have that bad karma thing going on. They used to have training camp close to where I live in LaCrosse, WI (UW-LaCrosse Campus). I used to love to go to their practics and watch Ditka flip out. If they have another sub par year, I would think Haslet would need to get the axe. Loomis has put some talent on that team. Bleedblk&gld: What is the word in NO, is the fans calling for Haslet's head? What about Loomis?
