What are four possibilities that a new season in the NBA could bring? For basketball fans like me that like to watch competitive games in the NBA may think positively about Kobe leaving the Lakers which would help the Nba as well as Kobe's Ego. With an aquisition like Kobe a new team can dawn to the competitive run for the championship or Kobe could be that piece that the Spurs could be missing. And if he stays a Laker I wont approve but who am I, just a fan. Second there will be a new team in the mix, "The Charlotte Bobcats". Who knows what this franchise has to offer this could be a BET dynasty in the making. Thirdly the nets could move to the Bronx strengthining a great rivalry for the ages between the Knicks and the Nets. Lastly coaching changes and unhappy players could lead to blockbuster trades in the offseason such as a trade that would send Allen Iverson to the clippers. A trade that could possibly bring some much needed big men to the sixers and a great pg/sg for the clippers in return. What are your thoughts for the 2004-2005 season. Startellis MJH
I hope Kobe goes to another team. Where' he'll be the only player just so he can go through the things that AI, TMac and what Pierce is going threw right now, just to see how good he REALLY is, and if he can be a leader and lead a team. Next, its the Bobcats. I dont what to expect. All though there's a big chance that Jay Williams might end up there, since Chicago waived him. But till we get the roster, we cant really say much. Arent Nets moving to BK in the 2005-2006 season. I live in Queens New York, I would have know if they started building the arena at least. So Im pretty sure that they will move to BK in the 2005-2006 season, but I could be wrong. Allen Iverson to Clippers never heard of that? I doubt he'll go there. I hope he dosent go there, I want him to go to Minnesota. Him and KG would be a NASTY combination.
How would he end up in Minnesota?? He isn't gunna be going to clippers i don't think. As for the bobcats next year they aren't gunna be sh*t. Look at the grizzlies and toronto, they were horrible. Bobcats aren't gunna have any good players. As for Kobe, he'd be a fool to leave the lakers. A damn fool!
dp, the draft is pretty deep this year. I think the Bobcats can get 15-20 wins. I hope the Bobcats get Luol Deng.
I think the biggest thing that will be the most intersting will be the realignment. There will be six divisions and the Hornets will be in the western conference.
By the way when I mentioned the Bobcats as becming a dynasty I meant over a period of time not in a day or two. As for the Nets issue i'm not 100 percent sure when they are going to be in the BK but these are all pluses for the NBA.
I'd like to see how this off-season goes... I mean even after all the transactions the top teams made this season, only ONE of them will win this year. This leaves the other 4 big teams in the west wanting more. They will continue to try to amass as much talent as they can, and the trend that we saw this season will continue. I don't really see an end in sight, as teams like Sacramento, LA, Dallas, Minnesota, and SA will keep wanting to stock up more and more in hopes of being able to beat the other contenders in the West.
maybe if the Warriors were in the east. I'd like to see the Bulls win 3 in a row next season, because they can't do it this season. But Coach Skiles insulted them the first time they tried to accomplish this feat by saying something like --- good teams don't get excited over winnign 3 in a row, which is true, but that was a bit harsh, I think.
Ok, bobcats might make a dynasty, but melo <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">dp, the draft is pretty deep this year. I think the Bobcats can get 15-20 wins. Great deep rotation in memphis. However, in toronto they're still pretty weak for now. Bobcats will stillsuck. The nets won't be in Brooklyn next year, and the west is still going to dominate.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">I'd like to see the Warriors make the freak'n playoffs!</div> Damn straight
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As for Kobe, he'd be a fool to leave the lakers. A damn fool!</div> I dont think so. Looks he has 3 rings. Thats good enough. Some of the G.O.A.T dosent even have 3 rings. Next he will never get that respect he deserves if he with Shaq, yeah he's a great player, but some underate him because he has Shaq, and he's been in Shaq shadow for the longest. But now its his time so shine. Secondly he's still in his prime so this is the time he better move on, because he wont be the same player in 5 years.
Here are just some things that intrest me about the upcoming season: 1. Kobe Bryant's legal situation - We all have our own opinions on this, however the court's decision will have a huge impact on whether Kobe Bryant ever plays NBA basketball again. 2. The playoff situation in the West. Netx year the West will be one fun group of teams to watch as they all fight for a playoff spot and then into the playoffs. Almost every team in the West is capable of making the playoffs next year depending on how well of a season they have. Should be very interesting 3. Coaches/Player struggles - What will transpire with these. Byron Scott got the axe because him and Jason didn't get a long. Larry Brown is out of Philadelphia. Who will win these battles next year. A few to keep an eye on are Allen Iverson/Chris Ford and Steve Francis/Jeff Van Gundy. These player/coach problems will lead to someone leaving. The question is will it be the coach or the player?
