For the fourth consecutive month, LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets were named the Eastern and Western Conference got milk? Rookies of the Month, respectively.

Anthony, the third overall selection in the Draft, ranks second in scoring (20.3 ppg) and second in rebounding (6.2 rpg) among rookies. Averaging 27.1 points per game, Anthony recorded 11 games of 20 or more points and three games of 30 or more during the month of February.

    Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets

Feb. 2 vs. Portland: Scored a career-high of 39 points on 14-of-22 shooting in a 116-97 win over the Trail Blazers.

Feb. 9 vs. Memphis: Recorded a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while handing out five assists in a 86-83 win over the Grizzlies.

Feb. 23 @ Memphis: Scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 109-106 loss to the Grizzlies.

Melo averaged 27 points for the month of February.

wow this is crazy but i believe both melo and bronbron can win the whole damn months of the season barring injuries... yeah, it's no competition seriously, except for dwyane wade who has been giving these two a thought for the ROY award...

No suprise here, they should easily win all of them. I could see Wade getting in on it, but I doubt it. LeBron does so much for the Cavs over a whole month, and is a more consistant player. Just sucks to see Wade behind LeBron like that, because I think he'd win a few in the West.

^ you mean wade has got a chance to win ROM honor if he played in the west? A chance against Anthony? Sorry, but I guess the chance for him to beat out Anthony for ROM honor is the same with the chance to beat out James in the Eastern Conference... if not worse

Are you kidding me? LeBron James is LeBron James. You'll never beat out a player like him. He does so much and is finally starting to put his team at a run for the 8th spot. However, Carmelo has had his times where he stumbles while Wade played a lot better. I could easily see Wade winning a few in the West. Plus, Heat have been played decent ball lately, while the Nuggz are slowly losing that lead for the 8th spot. Plus he's been injured for different periods of time this season, so give him a break.

I think Wade coulda won it last month if he didn't have the downslide, b/c he was on fire and also won player of the week while Miami moved to 7th spot, they're back to 8th now but still.
